Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

No, the federal government has very little power to limit abortion directly, if any at all. As the Supreme Court decided in Dobbs v. Jackson, "[i]t is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives." In my view, there are no enumerated powers granted to the federal government that would allow it directly limit abortion. Therefore, the Constitution requires the issue of abortion to be legislated by the states under their police powers. Abortion should be limited by the states. I would consider supporting federal steps or legislation to limit abortion where it is permitted by the Constitution.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

My view is that the "separation of church and state," which is not referenced in the Constitution, does not prevent the government from favoring religion over secularism as long as it does not coerce religious observance or participation.
