QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Provide confidential counseling and guidance to the proper pregnancy centers in the community for further support.
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
As it grows it has been touched by God and is created by God. This understanding should be viewed as spiritual and comforting that babies are blessings.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
I have been self - employed for over 19 years and I am grateful for my freedom and the ability to have more control over my life for my family.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Unfortunately, parenting is a private matter and while we would like to think most parents are wonderful, we have children subjected to unfair hardships and trials. Let us offer an opportunity through education that allows the child an escape and become academically inclined so they may survive their environment and become law abiding, tax paying, and successful citizens without the threat of being sucked into cycles of incarceration or welfare. Together, we can do this!
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Agree
Do we all agree on this, no? But, it has been brought to my attention the Board of Beaufort County Schools allows the teachers who are not voted into seats to choose their curriculum when it is the Board's job to approve it. I know for a fact this is not supporting our county's culture or brand in the types of morals and values most families agree on and producing less focus on actual academics that could raise our scores. I fully intend to make curriculum a steady focus when seated.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender transitioning providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
These are family, medical and legal issues. The job of our schools is to educate academically. Let's focus on that and direct children and their families to the organizations funded for those issues instead of using school funding there instead of on our learning restricted students.
Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
Children who break rules and law need consistent discipline the most. Should it be provided with supportive guidance, sure. End of story.
Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?
Yes
Taxpayer money goes to our schools and all taxpayers should be able to agree if funding and operations are of their satisfaction.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
ABSOLUTELY! Who are without roots and heritage? The American culture is just as important than every other culture and should not be hidden or manipulated in any way.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Disagree
Diversity, yes. Totally. Equity, absolutely. Inclusion? All students should be safe, valued, and respected. In my opinion, inclusion is forcing children to experience issues that are uncomfortable and a distraction. I support removing all labels and children being treated the same in an academic learning environment where there is no opportunity for emotional distractions while in the learning environment. Let them figure out the rest on their own instead of being conditioned.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
The U.S. Department of Education has their agendas and negotiations that do not always support states and communities. Every region is different and without limiting their efforts many communities lose their culture which bond the strongest part of their communities.
If a member of the public flags (challenges) a book as inappropriate and the school board disagrees, should the board impose a moratorium on when the book can be challenged again? If yes, for how long?
NO. The public deserves to be heard, understood, and full resolution.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning
Language Arts Information Technology American History Mathematics Science Civics Foreign Language Arts & Music Physical Education Personal Finances Vocational Learning
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Disagree
This creates division. It decreases funding for students who are in need of education to excel in life. The other choices should be available but a family expense.
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
ALL STUDENTS SHOULD FIND SOLACE IN EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITIES
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
A and B
Who should make decisions about whether or not a book is appropriate for children? A) the elected school board members; B) an outsourced community committee
I think both working together would be a huge service to the time investment such an endeavor entail.
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in love, compassion, wisdom and truth. I seek Jesus, refer to the bible and a huge believer in the power of prayer. I understand this cannot be forced on others, but in 49 years, it has served me well.
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.
Strongly Agree
Seriously? What is this about? Their bodies are developing and even a child gets confused often through puberty. Who is saying it is ok to manipulate natural development in an immature body? For the health and minds of young children, please stop this!
If sexual education is taught in schools, what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
Sexual drive develops in the formative years and manifests in formative years (which is why there should be no manipulations!) Sexual Education should follow these developmental ages mildly related to social exposure and materials sent home to the families for further discussions.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.
Agree
It is the way God intended, but I am no one to judge or deny anyone the right to love.
Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.
Strongly Agree
Families have their job. The church has its job. The school has their job. Healthcare has its. Let organizations do their job.
Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.
Strongly Agree
ABSOLUTELY AGREE
School children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming including drag shows and explicit materials with pictures of sex acts and graphic language.
Strongly Agree
How is this teaching academic foundations?
Should schools be giving instruction on how to engage in sexual acts, the pleasures of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or should they instead focus on educating students about the science of reproduction?
EDUCATION as it pertains to subjects. End of story.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Women have had to fight for their right to be seen as humans. To intrude on the privacy of development when a woman's body is so delicate, and women need women is a huge setback in the masculine and feminine energies. Our young ladies deserve to mature in safe environments where they feel comfortable.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
NO
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
NO
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I prefer a strong foundation and understand the need for regulation and slower growth. Technology has things moving way too fast and moral compasses are suffering because of it. I prefer compassionate conservative because I understand the changes but as a PR professional I know the global agenda as a study. The threat to our society is very real and we must protect the greater good as a whole.
2ND AMENDMENT
The right to bear arms is fundamental and must be protected.
Strongly Agree
Proper licensing, education and certifications is the key to gun safety and should be heavily enforced. If guns need to be taken? Get them off the street from the ones using them illegally. Focus on that.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
Disagree
If other children's parents to choose to vaccinate their children, it should reduce the threat. Noone knows their body like themselves or the bodies of their children. Educate and disseminate the proper information for those decisions.
