QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
To save the life of the mother, and in cases of rape and incest, also before the first heartbeat is detected, which usually occurs at, or during the 12th week.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Neutral
I support Title X Grants
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Only if said Church is using it's exempt status to break laws that are currently in place,
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
No one should be mandated by the government to provide services if it violates their religious values.
Should religious schools which accept state funds be allowed to only admit families and students who agree to adhere to their statement of faith?
Yes
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Israel is out strongest Ally is the Middle East.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) Healthcare should not be a burden to the working class in forms of taxation. Medicare and Medicaid are in place to aid the elderly and low income families that meet the criteria.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
School vaccinations are necessary to keep children safe from Measles, Polio, Chicken Pox etc. as Heard Immunity cannot protect against an epidemic when children come from other countries that do not require the same.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
The minimum wage is for first time job seekers with no experience entering the work force. The majority of employers pay above the minimum wage to satisfy workers in todays economy.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Yes
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Disagree
I worked as a Police Officer, and I do not believe our Officers can nor should lose any funding for the jobs that they do. I think both the Police Department and Community Programs can work together simultaneously.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The restrictions and laws that are already in place needs to be strictly adhered too. House Bill 281 which was passed in March 2023 allows some of the ideas which make up Red Flag Laws in other states to become law in North Carolina. I do not support any restrictions that goes against our Constitutional 2nd Amendment Rights.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was reared in a Christian household, we went to Church every Sunday and attended Vacation Bible School every year. My great grandfather was a Southern Baptist Missionary, and my other great grandfather was a Brethren Minister. I am also a Minister of the Christian faith. As I have gotten older, I lean more towards a Spiritual connection with my Lord and Savior and I believe people have the right to pursue their own connection, however it suits them on an individual basis.
