QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Human life is sacred and deserving of protection from the moment of conception until natural death. A just and compassionate society does not measure the value of life by convenience, age, ability, or circumstance. As a candidate for U.S. House in North Carolina’s 12th District, I believe our laws should reflect a culture that values life at every stage, protecting the unborn, supporting mothers and families, and ensuring dignity and care for the elderly and vulnerable.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

Human embryos created through artificial methods are human lives, and deserve protection from purposeful destruction. Scientific progress must be guided by ethical responsibility. We should encourage medical innovation that respects life while setting clear moral boundaries that prevent the deliberate ending of human life. Protecting embryos goes hand in hand with supporting families, ethical fertility practices, and alternatives that honor both human dignity and compassion.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe abortion should be restricted to medical necessity to save the life of the mother.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Our founders sought to prevent a state-run religion while honoring America’s Christian roots and moral foundation. Faith has shaped our nation’s values, strengthened families, and served communities. A proper balance protects religious liberty, allows faith to flourish freely, and keeps government limited while preserving freedom of conscience for all.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

The U.S. relationship with Israel is important because Israel is a key democratic ally in a volatile region. Our partnership strengthens national security, intelligence sharing, and regional stability. It reflects shared values of freedom, democracy, and the rule of law, while supporting a close ally that helps protect American interests and promote peace in the Middle East. Psalm 122:6: "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they be secure who love you!"

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Strongly Agree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

c.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Disagree

Those with the means to help others should do so freely and generously, especially to support working families who are struggling. Compassion is a virtue, but it loses its meaning when it is enforced by government mandate. I do not believe relief should come through higher taxes or coercion. Instead, we should encourage voluntary giving, strengthen families, empower communities, and pursue policies that grow the economy, raise wages, and lower costs so families can succeed on their own merit.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1. Strong oversight and audits – Regular, independent audits and aggressive oversight of agencies and contractors to eliminate fraud, duplication, and abuse. 2. Eliminating duplicative programs – Consolidate or end overlapping federal programs that do the same job across multiple agencies. 3. Performance-based budgeting – Tie funding to measurable results so programs that fail to deliver outcomes are reformed or defunded.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

The U.S. should welcome immigrants who come legally, respect our laws, and are willing to assimilate into American society. Immigration should strengthen our nation by embracing shared civic values, learning our language, and contributing positively to our communities and economy.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Very few, our current laws are sufficient regarding felons etc.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Agree

Strongly Agree
