QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer money should never be used to provide funds for abortion providers, regardless if that money is directly used to provide abortions, or indirectly by financing other parts of the organization.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
In the cases of rape, incest, or the life of the mother then an abortion should be allowed. Most cases of pregnancy due to incest is statutory rape committed against underage girls. We should not require them to give birth as they are underage children that have been molested and raped by a relative.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
I would support a national ban on abortion except in the cases of rape, incest, or the life of the mother.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The separation of church and state means that the Government should not establish a state religion. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" is very easy for anyone to understand. "Nor should it prohibit the free exercise thereof" means that people can, and should, practice their faith. This includes government officials who should practice their faith and use it as a guide when considering public policy.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
This precedent seems to be only applied to Christians when they refuse service to someone out of following the tenets of their faith. We as Americans enjoy religious freedom as granted by the Constitution. Our religious freedom does not stop when we go to our places of work and to require a person or a business owner to violate their faith and perform a service when that service is easily performed by another is a violation of our Constitutional rights.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C - The United States should try to stay out of foreign conflicts, but to rule out political or military action when our National Security is threatened could set the stage for another world war in the future. Our National Security does not stop at our border and foreign policy does not mean military action. The U.S should always advise other countries on how to ensure freedom and stability but it is up to them to take the action that will shape their futures.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
China has become an economic and military threat to the United States and the world. And due to the failure of our career politicians to clearly see the threat that they pose, we have let China steal intellectual and military property from our university's, corporations, and our government and use that stolen property to build up from an emerging market to a Communist government superpower over the course of a mere 30 years.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, it is very important. Our relationship with them was formed over many decades of shared strategic goals. Israel acts as a counterweight to the expansion of extremism in the region and with a very capable military, they can respond to their National Security threats without military assistance from the United States. Israel is also a trade partner with the United States. And we should always side with God's chosen people.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
There seems to be less emphasis on the pride of military service and service to our country in general. Not requiring physical education in many school systems has made our children less fit so that when they become of age, many are unable to meet fitness standards. Also, according to the members of the military that I have spoken to, woke policies have made military life difficult and unattractive so they do not recommend it to others and do not stay in when their obligation is complete.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
No one should be required to take a vaccine and parents should always be in charge of the health care of their children. Government should not be allowed to require vaccinations for citizens to participate in society.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C - The more the federal government is involved in any particular sector of the economy, the more expensive it becomes. Healthcare costs continue to rise because of government laws, mandates and regulations such as Obamacare. To reduce the expense of Healthcare, Free Market principles must be applied to make a product or service more efficient, more available, and less expensive.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
I believe that our federal government takes too much from our businesses and our citizens. I am in favor of reducing overall federal spending, reducing the federal workforce by not filling positions as people retire, and reducing income taxes.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Strongly Agree
The cost of a college education has risen dramatically due to liberal financial and hiring policies in higher education. Shifting the burden to working families, many that could not afford to go to college themselves, is wrong.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
ESG and DEI are ways that liberals use the government to exclude people and groups that do not share their extreme worldview. To use ESG Ratings or DEI as criteria of where to invest public money is simply wrong because it is taking taxpayer funds to reward companies that share the liberal philosophy. With an infusion of public taxpayer money, the chances greatly increase that the ESG/DEI companies will flourish and spread more of the extreme liberal worldview.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
We should fully fund and build the wall and add security measures to make it very difficult to bypass. With the open southern border, we are letting millions of people come here illegally. Fentanyl is trafficked across the border and kills 75,000 Americans a year. Children and women are sex trafficked. And most likely we have enemies coming across the border that wish the U.S. and its citizens harm. We are enriching the drug cartels and allowing thousands of Chinese nationals to enter.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
America should allow people to immigrate to the United States that have demonstrated that they bring with them skills or abilities that will allow them to be a productive member of our society without being a drain on taxpayer funded public services. They should be willing and able to integrate into our society by learning our customs and language and have the desire to be an upstanding American citizen.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have the right to send their children to the school that best fits their child's needs. And the money used for education should follow the child to be used at the school of the parent's choice. Poor children should have the same educational opportunities and choices as wealthy families.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Yes, the U.S. Dept of Education interferes with state and local school board jurisdiction. The most common job at the Dept of Education is not former teacher, education administrator, or anything to do with education; the most common job is general attorney. The Dept of Education issues federal regulations down to states and local school systems that must be followed or they face the threat of federal lawsuits. The Constitution does not grant the federal government jurisdiction over education.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
There is no evidence that redirecting funds from police departments to community programs does anything to lower crime. In fact, if that were the case, then Democrat controlled cities across America would be bastions of peace and love and not the crime-ridden, poverty stricken places they actually are.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I think the laws that are on the books now are too restrictive. I believe that every American has the right to freely carry or conceal carry in public without the need to get a permit from the government. Rights granted by the second amendment are established and fixed and do not change. And unless someone commits a violent felony and is tried and found guilty in a court of law, those rights should not be taken away or limited in any way.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Strongly Disagree
The only reason that Democrats want to add more seats on the Supreme Court is to let them place new, young justices that are extremely liberal onto the court with a lifetime appointment. This would give them control of the Supreme Court for decades to come and allow them the power they seek to upend the Constitution and enact the extreme liberal worldview they envision for America.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The general purpose of government is to protect the citizens within its jurisdiction and provide them with equal opportunity for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
This was the definition at the founding of our country and laws were written to support this view. Our country was founded upon Judeo-Christian values and upon the belief that marriage was between one man and one woman.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
To even have to answer this question is a testament to how liberalism has warped our society.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Taxpayer funds should not be used to further damage people that have mental and emotional issues. If liberals truly cared about these people, instead of using them to create chaos in our society, they would get them the mental health services they need to heal. There is no such thing as gender transitioning because it is not possible. Our gender is set when we are formed in the womb and we are male or female all the way down to the cellular level. Hormones nor surgery can change this.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian and hold traditional Christian values. I am of the Baptist faith and attend church regularly. I believe that we are made in the image of God though we are flawed from birth. I believe that only through the blood and grace of Jesus Christ can we be saved from our sins. I believe that it is our Christian duty to help the less fortunate and to set an example of what it means to be a caring Christian. I also believe that we must show what it means to be a strong Christian by standing up for our beliefs and traditions and seeking to be leaders within our communities and our nation. As Christians, we are called to God's service and I believe that we must answer that call with action.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
To rent a PO Box from the U.S. postal service you have to show a photo ID as well as another form of ID so that they can establish that you are the person you say you are. How much more important is it to make sure that you are the person you say you are when exercising our sacred right to vote as granted by the Constitution? I am in favor of a National law requiring a photo ID to vote.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
To abolish the electoral college would mean that only the most populous states or cities would matter in a Presidential election and that some smaller states would no longer matter at all. It would also mean that the minority would no longer be protected from being overwhelmed by the majority. And to abolish the electoral college would create many problems due to recounts and issues when more than 2 candidates run for the Presidency.
EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
CRT is another liberal tool that is used to create chaos and division in our society. Our institutions are not racist and laws have been in place since the 1960's to address the problems with racism that have occurred in our past. For liberalism to flourish there has to be a problem to solve. If there is no problem then there is no need for liberalism. CRT and other things such as DEI are the tools that are being used to create the problems in our institutions to keep liberalism relevant.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Men are men down to the cellular level. That cannot be changed with surgery or taking female hormones. And to allow men to participate in women's sports or to grant them rights to women's spaces is wrong.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
If you follow the facts and science they do not support this view. Our climate has, and always will, change. It requires no urgent political action. Our climate is more dependent upon volcanic and sun activity than the burning of fossil fuels.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear energy is the best energy source for base load power. It is the most reliable, cheapest, and safest. The outdated permitting process for building nuclear power plants has been used to stop expansion of the best source of energy we have.
