QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Abortions should be allowed to save the life of the mother and in cases of rape and incest.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

Under America’s federalist system, matters of life and death are not generally in the jurisdiction of the federal government. They are the responsibilities of each state. The legal definition of when death begins is decided by each state. Laws regarding causing harm to humans, including murder and manslaughter, are also determined and enforced by each state. So, it is appropriate that abortion laws be decided by the states as well. The Democrats want a federal law that legalizes abortion nationwide. If we agree with them that abortion is a federal issue, it’s going to backfire on us. Instead of saving lives, we will be complicit in destroying them. The federal government doesn’t have any role to play in abortion.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means what the First Amendment says it means – “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

The politicians have wasted trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives on pointless wars in the Middle East and elsewhere. And the consequences have been disastrous. The constant war mongering by American politicians has not made us stronger and more secure. It has made us weaker and more vulnerable. It's time to fundamentally change the direction of our foreign policy.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

I’ve been to China on business. They were on a reasonably good path until Xi took control. He reversed much of the progress they had made. Today, China is a bad actor with regards to their neighbors. They have become the new colonial power in Africa with control over important minerals and metals like Lithium. They are trying to dislodge the dollar as the world’s trading currency. And they are quickly ramping up their military capability. Nothing good will come of this.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Israel is an important ally of the U.S., but no two country's interests are identical.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

71% of Gen Zers are ineligible for military service due to obesity or criminal records. Woke anti-Americanism is also a big issue in recruitment.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Parents must have the responsibility for making informed decisions about their children’s health. However, no parent has the right to sentence their child to a lifetime of pain and misery because they wouldn’t allow them to receive the Polio vaccine.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Healthcare is a service. No one has a “right” to force others to perform a service. But there are ways to improve our healthcare system. For example, Singapore turned their citizens into healthcare shoppers who pay attention to costs and outcomes. We should do the same thing. Like the U.S., Singapore's system has some government subsidies. But Singapore only spends 6% of GDP on healthcare compared to over 17% in the U.S. And they have better health outcomes than America.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

We need to simplify the 70,000-page tax code by eliminating special interest deductions and lowering tax rates.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The number of illegal crossings at the southern border since Joe Biden has been President totals more than eight million people, which is greater than the individual populations of 38 U.S. states. This is unprecedented in history and has created a host of problems which threatens our prosperity and safety. We must regain control of our border immediately.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Our entire legal immigration system must be reformed. We should focus on critical skills, as does Canada and Australia. But immigrants should only be used to supplement Americans, not supplant them, as is too often the case today. A skilled immigrant, or citizen, should also be allowed to bring their spouse and underaged children. But chain migration must end.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

America spends more per student on education than most developed countries. Yet, we get lousy results with American kids usually scoring in the bottom half in science and towards the very bottom in math. We must focus improving on education, using whatever means necessary.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. The 2nd Amendment is clear. Americans have a right to keep and bear arms. And recent Supreme Court decisions have affirmed the right of individual Americans to own a firearm (District of Columbia vs. Heller - 2008) and carry firearms outside of their homes (New York State Rifle & Pistol Association vs. Bruen - 2022).

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I believe that most of our issues are due to the destruction of the family, which makes me a conservative. I also believe that government is best which governs least, which makes me a libertarian. And I believe that when government does act, it must do so on behalf of the American people, not the special interests, which makes me a populist. I embrace all three labels.

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Protect life, liberty, and property.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I know that God has guided me, especially during the times in my life where I felt directionless. I found that giving into his will can cause miracles to occur. It did for me on the occasions when I needed them most.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Disagree

There is very little doubt that the climate is changing, given that the climate is constantly changing. But there are well-reasoned scientific objections to the belief that human activity is the primary cause. We need to stop the unworkable, costly, and economically destructive climate policies of the Biden administration. Any movement to a greener future must be led by the market, not the government, to ensure that it is technologically feasible and economically viable.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear power is the only way right now to reliably generate large amounts of electricity, without CO2 emissions.
