QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
As taxpayers we should not have to fund something against which we have a deep religious conviction.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
None
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
I worked with several legislators to ensure the passage of House Bill 7. We finally got it done in the 2nd Special Session, and it went into effect on December 4, 2025. The new law gives private citizens the right to sue health providers for mailing, prescribing or providing abortion medication to patients in the state of Texas; providers sued under the bill risk penalties of at least $100,000.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
As a “limited government” conservative, the idea of the federal government dictating what businesses must pay their employees goes against my core values. Many businesses have closed due to states imposing a minimum wage increase.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
US Department of Education, Environmental Protection Agency, National Art Institute are some. We should audit every government agency both federal and state.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The phrase, first appeared not in the Constitution but in a letter by Thomas Jefferson, has been so bastardized that people believe it a real directive blocking Church members from politics; nothing could be further from the truth for God instituted government. Our founding documents, the charters of our first colleges, and volumes of the Founders’ writings all reveal belief in God. America was built on Christian principles, and the Christian part can’t be separate from our national identity.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
When a person owns his own business, he has the right to refuse service to any customer he chooses (i.e. No Shirt No Shoes No Service). This is his prerogative, and he certainly has the right not to do something that violates his religious beliefs.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C: For the people who have paid into Medicare, they should get their benefits, but the system should be phased out because that bucket of money has proved to be too much temptation for the politicians in DC not to raid. Now we’ve got Medicare benefits going to people who not only never paid into the system but are in this country illegally.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
That’s not only a road to rationed healthcare, and you can ask anyone from Canada or the UK how well that works, but that model of thinking eventually leads to euthanasia.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Israel is a good economic and important military partner in that region of the world. Most importantly, the Bible tells us in Numbers 24:9 that “whoever blesses Israel will be blessed and whoever curses Israel will be cursed.”
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
We know as parents it is our God-given duty to train up our children in the way they should go. We are the authority and not only legally responsible for our children, but we will answer to the Lord for how we do this job. Every decision made related to the child’s health and education should be approved by the parent.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
This ideology goes against God’s design by trying to convince a “child” that he/she is born in the wrong body and implying he/she is somehow defective. That is not what the Bible teaches. Seeing all the people who will benefit financially from this practice is disgusting! When talking to individuals who were persuaded to do this and now regret it, they realize they will never be normal again and are beholden to Big Pharma for the rest of their lives.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Strongly Disagree
I believe it’s wrong when the state sponsors gambling and takes advantage of some of its most vulnerable citizens. Statistically, we know that gambling affects low-income wage earners disproportionately. It brings with it an undesirable criminal element that could have ties to cartels, money laundering and trafficking. We also know the proliferation of online gambling sites that are game and sports related has led to more kids under 18 gambling.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I came to a personal relationship with Jesus when I was seven years old. That decision has played an important role in my life to differing degrees from that day forward. That is what motivated me to become involved in politics because Christians know that there are hills worth dying on. There are issues that are important enough in God’s worldview that they need to be fought for and defended. It wasn’t until I came to Austin that I learned how to pray and battle in an entirely new way. I believe that we do not fight against flesh and blood but principalities and powers. These principalities and powers are only defeated by Jesus Christ. These are the values that will motivate every decision I will make once elected.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
If you have to have a photo ID to buy beer or cigarettes or get on an airplane, then you should have to show the same identification to exercise one of the most sacred privileges that one has as an American citizen. There are countries around the world where the citizens do not have the opportunity to duly elect their governmental leaders. Men and women have fought and died for our right to have free and fair elections, and, as citizens of America, that’s a right we should never squander.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
We passed the Girls Sports Bill for K-12 (HB25) in the 4th Special Session of the 87th. During the 88th, the Women’s Sports Bill (SB15) applied to colleges and passed in the regular session. In the 89th 2nd Special Session, we passed the Women’s Privacy Act (SB8 and SB240) that kept men out of women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, women’s shelters and jails. It went into effect December 4, 2025. This process took too long to protect our precious daughters, granddaughters, and mothers.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Texas has a huge need for energy. We must utilize every reliable, efficient, and effective source possible. These include traditional coal, nuclear, geothermal, and natural gas generation.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
NO
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
NO
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The criminal justice system must incarcerate the guilty for the term deemed appropriate by the courts, but sometimes the crime is so heinous that the sentence is life in prison or even the death penalty. In those rare cases, the system must be the deterrent it was designed to be. The goal should be that in the majority of cases the person will be rehabilitated while they are in prison learning new skills and a new way of life to come out as a productive member of society.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Disagree
As we discussed above it’s the parents’ responsibility to raise their child, and they should be the one monitoring the online activity of their children. Now you are asking for Big Brother (the government) to step in and monitor online activity.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
Sharia law is completely incompatible with our legal framework, and, most importantly, it is antithetical to our US Constitution. We have watched as Europe has lost its national identity by allowing a Muslim infiltration of their government. They now have 85 Sharia courts, but parallel legal systems are not conducive to a cohesive society. There can only be one rule of law for all citizens.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Absolutely none. It’s called the “2nd Amendment” because the founders of our Country understood that unless We the People had the ‘Right to Keep and Bear Arms,’ we would be vulnerable to a tyrannical government, and the government needs a well-trained militia to deter foreign invasion. History has proved this to be true. It doesn’t say you can keep a gun as long as it’s not a big one that scares your neighbor.
