QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
There are no circumstances (in which I am aware) in which I would believe an "elective" abortion should be allowed. It is a shame when children have to die so we may live as we please.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Neutral
I do not agree with elective abortions of any kind; however, if the laws are written such that these types of abortions are permitted, then yes… of course those drugs should meet essential safety standards and require reporting to gather evidence regarding personal chemistry.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Continuing to increase minimum wage will lead to a decrease in available minimum wage jobs, as employers look for ways to maximize the utilization of AI, and minimize the utilization of people (e.g., self checkout)... people cost money.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
Who sets the standard for these ratings? There seems to be a potential for corruption here, tracing down the foodchain.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under no circumstances (that I am presently aware) would I say the government should have the power to close/condemn churches. This is the underlying principle to the separation of church and state. The first amendment guarantees the right to religious freedom and to gather peacefully.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Unless individuals and businesses are discriminating based on inherent qualities (e.g., race, how someone looks, etc.), then businesses should not be required to provide services if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None. This is a no-brainer. Parent/individual choice is what I stand for.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
This is also why they should not be able to acquire land on US soils.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Absolutely. The United States should do anything and everything in their power to protect and aid Israel in times of need. Israel and Jewish people have traditionally and continuously been bullied and berated because of their race (race is not solely a skin color) and marginalized around the globe, which is egregious. I believe we should stand up to bullies and do what is right regardless of public opinion from those who have marginal understanding of the history in the Middle East.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
The United States is one of the top countries in the world for the distribution of sex-trafficked children. Many children coming across the border are undocumented; this leaves the door wide open for traffickers to have a huge market of children to abduct. The trouble with the southern border is multifaceted, so we should look at it from this perspective as well.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
If the state funds public schools by paying them per/child per/day of attendance, then is the leftover tax money (when parents decide to homeschool or send their children to private school) being used efficiently, or to fund self-motivated agendas (while attempting to appear generous and out for one's constituents)?
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
An enormous amount of damage is done by sexualizing children; I am a pastoral counselor, who also happens to have been sexually abused as a child. Providing sexual materials in schools for children, for example, normalizes seeing others (I.e., adults), in "compromising" positions. Therefore, when an adult proposes sexual behavior to a child, they are more likely to find it normal/"okay." This, I believe, is the intention of many; it makes children easier to manipulate as an adult ("votes").
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely, unequivocally YES.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Absolutely not. Many people are without insurance, and/or cannot get insurance to pay for general procedures... so why are we even considering adding an elective plastic surgery to the mix? Should a breast enhancement also be added to this list?
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Neutral
I completely agree with this statement as it pertains to my own life and other Christians; however, I am not in the business of pushing my beliefs on a non-believing people. The Bible guides us in 1 Corinthians 5 to judge those inside the church, not those outside (God judges those outside). Therefore, people can be permitted to act ungodly and the consequence is not ours to hold, so long as we are clear in a message of love and truth.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I attended Seminary School at Moody Bible Institute to get a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies. I lived my life much differently (drinking, partying, etc) in college, but the Lord completely changed my life... interestingly, I have not drank in almost 5 years. I live to serve the Lord because He is the love of my life. What He has done for me is beyond miraculous. I grew up in a home with plywood floors getting slivers in my feet, and now I have 14 years of college under my belt, 8 years of ministry, and am running for political office. I am not quite sure how I ended up here, but I believe it could be a calling. Because I have seen and cannot unsee, I can never turn back, so I must act.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
This is how we get fake votes... which is done intentionally by some in order to get an unfair advantage. If I cannot win fair and square, I do not want to win at all. I believe that is what having honor looks like.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
In one way, the intensification of the racial issue is a threat to domestic security. Pitting people against one another based on their race (which is often what we see in the media) is a threat to domestic security as it inflames and incites people against one another. I suppose that is all I have to say about that.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely Not: biological males should not be able to participate in women's sports. Not only do males physically have a much greater advantage over women in competition, this also leaves the window open for sexual abuse and stalking. Many of those who have complications with mental health are claiming gender ideologies/homosexuality as a mask for deeper and undiscovered traumas. So should we risk our daughters' safety and wellbeing at the expense of another's unresolved trauma?
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
C.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
As far as I understand, Nuclear Energy and Natural Gas are the most reliable energy sources that will supply the growing demand for electricity. This is not said without consideration that there are many risk factors/dangers involved.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No; however, I have been sexually abused as a child by family members who were never prosecuted.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To serve the people.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I would say I am between conservative and very conservative, as an overall principle; however, I lean less conservative in social matters, and much more conservative fiscally. I believe it takes wisdom and insight to be a conservative in this cultural climate. Additionally, I am not afraid to express my faith in Jesus in all that I do.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
If we have less structure and order in the streets (less money for police departments equals smaller police force), chaos will ensue. Recall the riots of Chicago (I was in Marquette Park at the time, a bad neighborhood on the south side of Chicago), where the police were overtaken by citizens and bullets from unregistered guns flew rampantly. Following the riots, many business owners left the area as a ghost town without anywhere to buy groceries, for example.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe the second amendment is a "right," not a "privilege." A "right" is bequeathed upon birth, as something one should have no restrictions on, such as breath or life itself. That is why I believe a FOID card is constitutionally illegal, as it puts a blockade up between me and my rights. I believe mental health is the big topic here- we could be discussing ways in which we can prohibit those with severe mental health problems from receiving guns (although this may effect privacy laws).
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
