QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I am very pro-life and believe elective abortions should not be allowed under any circumstances except in the case of rape. I believe the Texas Heartbeat bill is a step in the right direction. I think the law can be strengthened in a few ways to ensure the law is enforced by local district attorneys.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Neutral
I do not believe chemical abortions should be common place or easily accessible. That said, in the very specific cases where abortion would be allowed, I would want to ensure the drugs used were safe for patients.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
I believe in life and in miracles. The argument for assisted physician suicide is that there is no hope for a renewed quality of life, but miracles can happen at anytime. Physicians are in the business of saving lives, not taking them and we as a society should not encourage this contradiction to the hypocritical oath.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
There are no circumstances when the government should be allowed to close a church. The Freedom of Religion should be absolute.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
The government has no right to dictate morality to its citizens or to force businesses to violate their religious and/or moral beliefs.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The overall theme of my campaign is accountability. I want to hold our government accountable, but also our enemies. There is no doubt China is our number one enemy and we need to hold them accountable for their actions worldwide. If ever in a position to influence policy on china, I would reinstate the Trump era tariffs to help deter Chinese aggression worldwide.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The bond between the US and Israel is one that cannot be severed and we must not turn our backs on them. They are our greatest ally in the Middle East and our countries were founded on similar principles. We must not make the same mistake we did with Afghanistan. The US has had Israel’s back since its founding, and we must continue to support them in their current fight for freedom.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C I am not a fan of the Medicaid/Medicare programs but I do understand the purpose that they service. I would like to see these programs drastically reformed and streamlined in order to be more cost effective. These programs are filled with wasteful spending, and if we are going to provide these programs, then the government needs to ensure tax dollars are being spent intelligently and efficiently.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Government has no business involving itself in the medical decisions of its citizens. That said, I would vigorously fight to kill any vaccine or testing mandate. I support medical privacy!
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I believe an increased minimum would be detrimental to businesses. The individual should be responsible for achieving the income level they need to prosper, and the government regulations in this front need to remain limited.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
Public funds should be given to companies that can provide a public service based on the quality and value of the work that they provide. The government should not be in the business of trying to execute ESG type policies which are ultimately discriminatory to public service providers that can do the best job and provide the best value.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
The sovereignty of Texas is everything, without it none of the other issues we've discussed matter. The federal government refuses to do its job so Texas must do what it can to protect itself from invasion. No common sense resource should be off the table such as funding our own wall, technology, police force, etc. Texas should do the federal government's job and if the federal government throws a fit about it than let them reprimand Texas, its easier to absorb a reprimand than an invasion.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
School choice with universal vouchers provides the ultimate form of accountability. If a school performs poorly, does not have good teachers or good extracurriculars than families will not want to help fund the school with their ESA allotment. Simply put, if school wants to survive, it must constantly be improving. As the old adage states….a rising tide raises all ships.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. The NRA has given me a rating of AQ which is the highest grade a candidate for office can get without having been elected.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To provide necessary public services such as infrastructure and to provide for the common defense.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
From a spiritual standpoint, I am a Christian and do my best everyday to live up to the values set forth in the Bible. I am a strong believer in the individual, not the government. The idea that outcomes should be equal, is ludicrous, but the idea that opportunities should be equal, is something we as a society should strive for. We cannot guarantee that everybody will be successful, but the harder that someone works, the greater their chances will be.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is not a threat to US domestic security. The left drives this narrative that racism is still significant problem 60 years after MLK “I Have a Dream”, but this is the furthest thing from the truth and the data supports this claim.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Agree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A and C
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear would provide the cleanest and most abundant source of energy.
