Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

When the life of the mother is in danger.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Israel is a critical US ally as well as an economic partner. We should unapologetically recognize the right for Israel to defend itself and, while war is a terrible outcome and a last resort, we should hope for and celebrate the elimination of any barbarous terrorist organization like Hamas.


HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

D - we need a long term plan to phase out government distortions in the healthcare system. I do not support defunding programs, such as Medicare and Medicaid, for those individuals that are currently using them. We should work towards expanding options and innovation so that people can freely opt out of government programs with an eventual goal to eliminate tax-payer funded healthcare.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Never. The right to informed consent for medical interventions was firmly established in the Nuremberg Code, which arose in part from trials for war crimes held in US military courts.


ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

What is your position on the minimum wage?

It should be abolished. Increases in the minimum wage only serve to accelerate a trend of automation and decrease employment opportunities for the needy.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

ESG ratings must be vigorously opposed. The reality is that they are a political agenda masquerading as good intentions and do nothing to improve environmental, social and governance outcomes. Each of these issues are important considerations for corporate managers, but we should not allow it to be a weaponized narrative that undermines investment performance for political gain.


IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

I strongly support public investment in education. The most effective way to do this is to invest directly in the student with oversight from parents. I do not believe there is any role for the government in regulating curriculum or mandating assessments, testing or grading of schools. A free market and local communities should control education without external influence. The federal Department of Education is unconstitutional and should be completely eliminated.


CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

What are "community programs"? Without law an order there is no community. I am very supportive of our first responders and believe their contributions to society have been overwhelmingly positive. They are under attack based on the actions of a small minority of police or very rare occurrences of impropriety.


2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Restrict felons and those diagnosed with mental health issues.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

Teachers are people and according to the 2nd amendment "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed".

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To defend our God-given liberties and enforce a fair, consistent and transparent rule of law to that end.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I am often not sure what "conservative" means anymore. I am most concerned with ensuring the government does not deviate from its role as codified in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I believe the Bill of Rights was correct to enshrine religious liberty and free speech in the first amendment as the foundational liberties upon which all else is built. I support federalism and the decentralization of power. That's what I mean by "Very Conservative".


VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Unfortunately this list continues to grow, but I feel I should stress that it include pornography and artificial intelligence

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Nobody argues that the state has the authority to define and administer baptisms. Likewise, there is no authority over marriage.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is divisive, immoral and illegal. Therefore, along with all other evil ideologies, it is a threat to domestic security. However, the concept of racism has been hijacked by political activists to mean anything they need it to mean to advance an agenda of making race the central defining feature for all Americans. This kind of political weaponization of racism, and insisting on dividing us all into racial groups, is a perverse racism in the name of opposing racism.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Natural Gas because it is currently abundant in Texas and has the fastest timeline to deployment. We need a portfolio approach and nuclear, coal, geothermal, and hydrogen will have a role to play in making our electrical grid more reliable.
