RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Life starts at conception. There are tragic circumstances such as rape and incest where one could argue that an abortion should be allowed. These instances are without a doubt instances where the woman that is involved is incredibly broken, however an abortion will not make her whole again, and the life that is inside her had no say in the occurrence or the outcome. For this reason I am not in favor of elective abortions at any time. These unborn lives should have a voice and a chance.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Disagree
I do not support abortion of any kind at any time.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I do not support abortion of any kind, at any time, and our tax dollars could be much better spent in other ways.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Disagree
I do not agree with assisted suicide. As hard as this would be to watch unfold in one of my own family members' lives - until our life is fully over, we may be used by God in some way, whether we see it or not.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
As Americans, we have the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. If we take away the rewards for hard work, we eliminate some individuals' need to strive for a better tomorrow. If we allow Americans the ability to work hard and prosper, they may very well be inclined to share what they have with others freely, not because they are being forced to.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
The minimum wage should be commensurate with the job and training requirements. If a position requires something additional, then one should expect additional compensation commensurate with that job. Without this, we reduce the incentive to excel.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Choose not to answer
I need to do more research on this in order to better address the issues. If we focus our attention on a company's ESG rating solely and pay less attention to their ability to perform, we have allowed the ESG narrative to be the primary guide for our decisions which should not be the case.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under NO circumstances should ANY government be allowed to close churches.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Any individual or business has the right to allow or refuse service or sales to any individual just as any individual has the right to utilize any business of their choosing. No business should be forced to provide service if this would violate a religious or moral belief.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) most closely matches my view.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
I do not support untested, unverified vaccines being mandated by the government on citizens.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
We as a nation should be concerned about what information we share freely with other countries if we value our security.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, our relationship with Israel is important on many levels. As a Christian Nation which was founded on Christian values, we recognize that Israel is the chosen children of God and their opponents are doomed for failure. Our relationship with Israel is also important due to the vast number of Americans who are of Jewish descent that have fought and died for our freedom alongside us.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
We should ensure all borders of our country are secure and uphold the laws that govern immigrants to our nation and the process by which they can become citizens and valuable members of society legally.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Agree
Children are the future generation and it is our responsibility to ensure they receive excellent training in order for us to continue to excel as a community, state, and nation. A parent has the right to choose where the child will learn and there should be verifiable standards to ensure that the training which the children are receiving is effective.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Agree
Children are not developed enough to make these decisions or be allowed to make these decisions for themselves.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Agree
Parents need to be the safeguard for the children which are not developed enough to make life-altering decisions.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Absolutely not
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
The sanctity of marriage should be protected
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God because He sent His Son Jesus Christ to the earth to die for my sins. I was convicted of my sins by the Holy Spirit and freely accepted the gift of eternal life that Christ gave to me when I asked Him to forgive me of my sins, enter my life, and make me new! I will one day be with God in Heaven and will worship Him for eternity. This was not of anything I did myself, but was a free gift that God gave me and He has it for you as well! If you do not know God personally as your Lord and Savior, and you do not have the assurance of an eternal life with Him - YOU MUST BE SAVED! Reach out to God, reach out to a fellow believer, and feel free to reach out to me - I will gladly share His Good News with you
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
A verifiable photo identification allows us to ensure that the voter is who they say they are and are legally allowed to vote. By not using a photo identification, we are increasing the risk for voter fraud and our election process is much easier to be compromised.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Choose not to answer
I need to do additional research on this subject in order to fully understand this.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism of any kind is a threat to good order and discipline. As far as being a threat to domestic security - this is a very broad question and I would have to understand more about the context and implications of the questioning to provide a better answer. There are groups and individuals that desire to erase the past with the focus on racism which cripples our ability to learn from the past, creating a new narrative in the process which I do not support or agree with.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
I do not agree with this narrative.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
God created Male and Female. Anything that was created other than these are not the same.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
(A, (B - "could" be worth the cost), C) The environment should be considered in the process of growth and development but not to the detriment of growth and development or at the cost of us a society.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
I would need to research this further in order to provide "the most reliable" energy source. There are many options currently that have benefits as well as pitfalls.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The General purpose of the government is to maintain our military to protect our nation and enact rules and laws which ensure all citizens have the same rights and access to resources. Having the right and access to resources does not mean that we have equal shares of these resources, it only means that we have equal rights to pursue the resources.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Our police departments are not paid enough for the work that they currently provide. By reducing funding for these organizations, we are cutting the legs off of our safety and security and opening our communities up for unimaginable lawlessness and unrest.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Certain individuals should not be allowed to purchase/own/carry weapons and these individuals have already been identified and are regulated by law (i.e. felons, mentally disturbed and incompetent individuals). Other legal citizens of the United States have the right to bear arms as outlined by the 2nd amendment.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Any teacher should be allowed to be trained on the use of a deadly weapon if they choose. If we trust these individuals enough to train our children and our future generation, we should trust them enough to defend them if they choose to be trained to do so.
