Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Based upon my biblical convictions, taking an innocent life for any reason shouldn't be allowed.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

My answer to Question 1 covers this as well. I am totally against chemical abortion drugs.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

What is your position on the minimum wage?
The minimum wage is a starting point for salary, it was never meant to be a maximum living wage. The cost of goods and services must be maintained by conservative policies and less government intervention, lowering and eliminating inflation.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
ESG ratings must be dismantled and eradicated.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
NO CIRCUMSTANCES. I was one of the few pastors in North Carolina that signed on and supported the lawsuit against Governor Cooper to re-open churches officially. We won. This lunacy can never happen again.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Should religious schools which accept state funds be allowed to only admit families and students who agree to adhere to their statement of faith?
Yes
While I agree with this statement, this is the problem with accepting state funds.... there can always be strings attached.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
If I had to choose, I'd go with "C." Medicaid and Medicare has seemingly always existed for generations of today. To defund them, would be erroneous and unwise for our elderly adults who actually help build this nation. I was against Obamacare because I knew where it was leading us, to universal healthcare. The masses win when private companies "bid" for their business, but this is not so when the government healthcare. Eventually, we will see the quality of care diminish due to gov healthcare

No circumstances. I stand for medical freedom for everyone. Being forced to take a vaccine is tyrannical.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

The CCP is our enemy, not our friend. I want to make it law that they cannot own one square inch of land in North Carolina.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. It is very important. We share a common commitment to democratic principles, freedom, and human rights. Both nations were founded on the belief in the rule of law, individual freedoms, and the rights of citizens to choose their leaders. In a world where these principles are sometimes challenged, the United States and Israel stand as beacons of democracy. Supporting Israel reinforces the message that a representative government and freedom are not just American ideals but universal values.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

I strongly agree with the concept IF we can incorporate it into law that the state CANNOT attach strings and requirements in the future to get said funds. If this happens, we are back to where we started from--a government funded school.

I am a pastor and have taught the Bible on all levels for over thirty years. I believe that we as a Nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and if we are to survive, we must return to them. I am the only candidate in this race that has been forthright about their spiritual beliefs and values without waver, on all matters -- including when life begins and asking the legislature for a conception bill to protect the life of the innocent unborn. I believe that America is an exceptional Nation, built on God and the principles of His Word. If we are to keep this country exceptional, we are going to have to get involved and take a stand on our God-given principles.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The Reverse Racism, that is being pushed by the radical left, is a threat to domestic security. It has caused a re-birth of hate that didn't exist a decade ago, at least not to this extent. The Marxist policies pushed by the Left seeks to destroy us and turn us against each other. It must be eradicated and the only sure way to eliminate it is with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Hearts must be changed, not only minds.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

A. Climate change is the new religion of the Left to enslave us, eradicate our liberties, and sky-rocket our costs in this Country. We need a strong economy and lower costs. To do that, we can still be good stewards of our land and natural resources without being erroneous in our approach for everyone.

What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The general purpose of government is to function for the people, by the people, and of the people. Government should never (and was never meant originally by our forefathers) be that organism we rely on to solve our problems. A limited government makes sure that people rise to the occasion and surpass our expectations. As is, our government has become too big, too powerful, and too controlling. Our government needs to go on a diet and more rights and liberties given back to the populace.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

While I am not against community initiatives, our police departments must be fully funded if we want to exercise in a free society, without fear of evil.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
No restrictions on my Second Amendment rights or gun ownership. The best way to protect the public from a menace using a gun is to stop them with a gun or imprison the offender for the crime. If we punish the perpetrators correctly and commensurately, we can alleviate crime involving guns. The offender must fear the law and the punishment of breaking that law. No restrictions should ever be placed on us regarding gun ownership.
