QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

1. Health of mother, 2. Rape, 3. Incest

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

This issued is handled at the state level.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

In America, there is no state-sponsored religion. Houses of worship are the bedrock of American society and we need to encourage attendance at church, and keep hands off of church revenues. The exception is Islam, which has proven, over a thousand years, not to be a reliable faith partner.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

If a Christian bakery does not want to provide a wedding cake for a gay couple, that is their prerogative. I disagree with their theology on this issue, but they believe what they want to. Nor should Christian teachers should not be forced to use pronouns to address sexually confused or transgender students.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

c. We can't police the entire world. The US is in a $35T hole and simply can't afford to put out fires all over the world. Let's do our best to create peace, so we can focus on improving the situation for Americans on American soil.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

No doubt. This is an aggressive foe.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East, obviously. For me, as a Christian, though, the ancient Israel that we read about in the Old Testament, is not the same as this current iteration of Israel. Trying to force-fit modern Israel into the framework of ancient Israel is very bad theology.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

Way too much DEI in our military. I suspect there is a racial issue at work, too. In the same way that some colleges appeal only to Black students, I have no problem with segregated military units, if folks want to go that way.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Tough question. When it is scientifically proven that the public good is served by taking a vaccination, then we should all volunteer.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B. - There are no easy answers on this question. In a capitalist society, healthcare is a market that providers have to compete for. That said, we need to address this issue with compassion and there are many instances where the government rightfully subsidizes this product.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

1. Less government, 2. Lower taxes 3. Improve health to lower medical costs.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Absolute joke that Harris and McBath are trying to bribe voters with this "forgiveness" ploy. How about let's address the interest charged?

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

Choose not to answer

Not sure.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Seal the border by any means necessary. If that means using force, then so be it. We should be stopping these caravans in Mexico, before they get to the US. This is a critically important matter that must be immediately resolved.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We do not have the resources or obligation to let anybody and everyone to enter our country. 1. Farm workers here only to harvest crops on a temporary basis. 2. Folks who have exhibited a mastery of the English language. 3. Folks who bring value to our society and are not here to freeload, and wire money out of the country. 4. We should not allow Muslims into our country.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

Education is a market, just like any other industry. Public schools can be great or disastrously bad. Parents should have the right to use their educational dollars at any school of their choosing.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

We have far too many bureaucrats in DC who are wasting precious resources.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Disagree

Police reform, yes. Defund police, no.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We don't have a gun problem. We have a family problem. Kids from strong families do not typically misuse firearms. I strongly support the right to bear arms. We need safe storage laws, strong background checks, and perhaps some kind of special permit, or protocol, when it comes to the purchase of AR class guns.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

We need government, obviously, to manage the miliary and create international policy and relationships. We need government to create a fusion among our 50 states. But we don't need tons of regulations, bloated payrolls and worthless boondoggle projects. I believe US senators and Congressmen should serve under term limits.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Disagree

I have no problem with gay marriage. While we are referring to God's will, are you as militant about divorce? Should divorce be allowed at all? Should second marriages be allowed?

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

If someone wants to "change sex" after they turn 18, that is their business. But we should not ever "transition" a minor; studies show pretty conclusively that the overwhelming majority of these confused kids resolve their issues without "changing gender."

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Insurance companies should pay for this, not the federal government.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I experienced a very powerful Christian conversion in 1977, when I was 17. This is the most important part of my life and affects me 24/7. Jesus is my all and all, and when I get to DC, I hope to start a prayer and fasting movement that will bring revival to the US.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Way too much opportunity for fraud, otherwise.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

The founders knew what they were doing.

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Democrats are pushing this on the rest of us; it's up to strong men and women to fight back against this stupidity.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Neutral

Although I'm sort of caught between both camps on this issue, I don't think we should be hysterical about the threat. That said, we need to move methodically towards the most efficient means of energy. Hydrogen, nuclear, solar, wind, electric - if these work then let's use them.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear.
