Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Never. While there may be situations where the life of the mother is at risk and early separation may be needed, (which is intended to save the mother's physical life), that is not an elective abortion. Elective abortions are the intentional ending of a pre-born human life and are not needed.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

All human life is valuable. Missouri is one of about half of U.S. states in which citizens can initiate legislation. In 2024, Missouri citizens overturned most legal protections for pre-born people when they initiated & passed abortion through all nine months for almost any physical or mental health reason with no definition of what those reasons must be. Because that change happened at the constitutional level, Missouri citizens are the ones who must enact legal protections for pre-born people.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

What is your position on the minimum wage?
While we absolutely must protect against the use of people for labor without fair compensation, the over use of the minimum wage to try to reduce poverty over time leads instead to price increases, job reduction, business closures, and more poverty.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Free enterprise and private property are unalienable rights as Americans and are two elements that continue to set the U.S. apart by providing individuals with less red tape, more opportunities to risk and rise in economic station, and to continue to build onto what they gain.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. This year, I am working to have legislation that will not add costs to the state budget. 2. Within Medicaid, we have many duplicate systems for applications, duplications for how submissions are sent, and we have gaps in correctly implementing job seeking/work requirements. We need to eliminate duplications and clarify expectations. 3. We need to reduce silos between DOC, DMH, and, DSS so that people are not sitting in one system while waiting for open beds in another system.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Unlike countries where the king or rulers not only enact legal policy, but also enact policies of worship for the state religion, the US set a separation where the president or Congress cannot not require religious membership for citizenship, nor can they demand certain worship practices in order to vote or work. This separation does not, however, prevent the church from influencing the government.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
The system we have now continues to rise in costs, does not provide better health, and continues to miss the truly disabled or most vulnerable. The government funded system is bankrupting healthcare for a majority of citizens, and will bankrupt states as insurance costs continue to rise. More government is not the answer. Free markets and transparent pricing lead to reduced costs. With the Medicaid expansion amendment, however, we will need a constitutional change if we want to restructure.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Generic numbers can be helpful data. Specific names and personally identifying medical information is not necessary to track trends or costs of medical illnesses.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Israel is a democratic state in a region surrounded by a very different and often dangerous worldview to those outside. It is extremely important to support democracy and freedom where we can.

While we should be good stewards of creation, most of the modern climate change proposed "solutions" are socialist policies disguised as environmental protection. This doesn't help creation or society to thrive.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear power is the most reliable. It takes a long time to build, however, so natural gas seems to be a good option to help as we work toward additional power generation.

The criminal justice system is first and foremost the implementation of consequences for law breaking. In the midst of those consequences, opportunities can be taken for rehabilitation, if possible.
