QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Never

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Of course, I believe these should be illegal.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

It is wrong.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

I will never support legislation to interfere with God's perfect timing on life and death.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I believe hard work pays off. I believe in a free and open market. I believe that when markets are unburdened by regulation then markets have the freedom to reach their greatest potential. Ultimately, our pay will reflect our efforts.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

One of the greatest manipulations of our time as well as one of the greatest violations of our Constitution, is policy regulations on the free market that include requiring companies to adopt social issues standards in order for freedom of growth. I will fight against these unfair regulations always.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Never

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Our Constitution protects our right to practice and live our religion. This doesn't mean only "sometimes." I will always fight to protect our religious liberties that God himself has given to all mankind.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I believe in the Bible. I believe that all of us have been commanded to help the needy, the orphans, the widows, the sick, the afflicted. Of course, there must be government aid to help care for the disabled and for children and the elderly who cannot take care of themselves. For the rest of us, GO TO WORK! As soon as we require the able bodied to work if they want healthcare, then we will see the healthcare market stabilize.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Never.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, of course. Many reasons but two are: Israel is our strongest ally in a region of dangerous unrest and those who wish to harm America and her citizens. It will always serve our national security to keep Israel strong so that they can continue to be our eyes and ears in this region. Secondly, Israel is home to the most sacred places on Earth for all Christians. As home to the Jewish nation, God's chosen people, we must honor God's command to always serve as protectors of his people.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The greatest dereliction of duty by our current president, in my opinion, is his failure to secure our borders. The Cartels are singing Pres Biden's praises. They are making billions and billions and growing in strength and power and evil because of our open borders. You would be a fool if you were one of America's enemies (we have many) & you did not send cells of jihadists, terrorists, criminals, traffickers, etc. across our border. They have and they are here. We will deeply regret this.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

I 100% support Universal school choice, however, it is critical that this legislation be written very carefully so that we ensure autonomy for homeschool families and private schools from Gov't interference. Parents, nor private schools want to co-teach or co-parent with our government! This does not mean that I do not support public schools or teachers. Investing in our children, is the most important and most promising investment that any one of us could ever make for our futures!

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Yes of course and I will fight will every ounce of my being to protect children from these abuses! However, we must not forget about our elderly and those living with disabilities. We are seeing elderly abuse on the rise as well as other abuses towards those who are more vulnerable. You will NEVER have to question my commitment to protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Please join me in this FIGHT!

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Of course. I see parental authority being chipped away on many fronts. As soon as I become one of your TN Senators, I plan on working diligently on fighting for legislation that secures these individual rights that must be enshrined in our State Constitution.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Never and for no one, including adults. Doctors take a pledge and oath when they receive their doctorate that they will "Do NO Harm." How can we require these oaths on one side, and then turn around and make it lawful to mutilate humans on the other side. It is wrong!

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God the Eternal Father and in his Son, Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus is indeed the Christ, the promised Messiah foretold in the Old Testament and witnessed of in the New Testament. Although I don't understand everything about the atonement, I know it is real, as I have felt the forgiveness of my sins at times and the healing power that comes from that great sacrifice he made for me. I did not always walk with God. But gratefully, he never gave up on me. 28 years ago, I gave my life to him and was able in time, to be healed from my brokenness. Although underserved, he saved me and continues to save me each day. I love my Savior. I want to be like him. I try to follow him. I am eternally grateful that I know him.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I will NEVER support such a piece of legislation!

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

I know our founding fathers were called of God, prepared by God for a special divine purpose. That purpose was to establish our nation, by creating a Constitution that placed essential restrictions on the powers that our government would be allowed to hold. I believe in the principles of the Electoral College and will always fight to protect it. We do not believe in mob rule and that's why popular vote is not the law of the land, because it creates an opportunity to oppress the minority.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

In my opinion, sin is the greatest threat to our domestic security. Racism is a sin, but there are many sins. When individuals turn away from God, it breaks apart families. When families are broken, it creates greater brokenness in a community. When there is overwhelming brokenness in a community, a town, or a city...it creates brokenness in a nation. If we want to build a greater nation, we must start with us and our belief that it is "In God we Trust."

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is an attempt to create division, hate, and bitterness between the races. Anytime, there is a movement or ideology that promotes a group of people to identify themselves as victims, rest assured, it is a purposeful attempt to limit that groups ability to thrive and reach their potential. There is no person, no entity, no government, no employer, no group of people that has the true power to limit one's success. The only person that does have that ability to limit us, is ourselves.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

There is only one purpose in this movement. ONLY ONE! And that purpose is to victimize children and women. Please know...I am not a candidate that is afraid to call "EVIL," EVIL. Today, too many politicians, churches, and people are afraid to speak out against evil. When God's people are silent (or very quiet), then evil will flourish. Yes, there is a time & a way & sometimes a place to speak or not speak, but we must SPEAK! We must STAND. "They" will not take our children on my watch!

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

I'm sorry but none of these really describe my views. My view is that of course, we must be good stewards of our earth and resources, just like in our own homes. Because money is the root of all evil, there are people and companies that blatantly misuse our natural resources for financial gain. This is wrong and must be addressed. I believe in science and data that is transparent and without MANIPULATION & when we have access to that, we can make smart, sensible decisions. I HATE REGULATIONS!

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Two--Fossil Fuels and Nuclear. I want to see our country and state invest tremendously in both of these resources. I'm excited for greater exploration in nuclear energy.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

no

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

no

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Since the power of government is held by the people, it's role is to serve at the will of the people.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I believe that every piece of legislation must be weighed and measured against its alignment with the US Constitution and the TN Constitution before it can be considered. Our state legislature is not adhering to this standard and it is time for that to change. In my opinion, upholding these safeguards is the only way to ensure the sovereignty of our state and our nation.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Properly funding our police departments will be one of my highest priorities as your state senator.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Of course, if you choose to commit a violent crime, you choose to forfeit your constitutional right to bear arms. Outside of that forfeiture, I do not believe in any other regulations.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

I've been in public school classrooms. Recently, I was in a very small classroom in a middle school in Knox County teaching a class. As I taught, I thought about this issue. I looked around. There was no where to go, but through the door. There was no where for us to hide if we heard gunshots coming towards us in the hallway. You better believe that I would want some way to protect my kids in that moment. I should have the right to do so, if I choose.
