QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I am strongly opposed to abortion, and I do not believe elective abortion should be permitted simply because a pregnancy is unwanted. I believe the law should recognize and seek to preserve both the life of the mother and the life of the unborn child. Where a genuine medical emergency threatens life, physicians should act according to medical necessity and make every reasonable effort to preserve both lives.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Disagree

I do not believe greater income or wealth alone creates an obligation to bear a higher tax rate. I oppose taxes on income or property based simply on what someone earns or possesses. I am more supportive of consumption or transaction-based taxes, including excise taxes on luxury goods, where people generally choose whether to make the taxed purchase. Such taxes naturally collect more dollars from those who spend more and purchase more expensive goods.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1. Apply a constitutional test: Is this an enumerated federal responsibility? If not, eliminate it or return it to the states. 2. Phase out unconstitutional entitlement programs while honoring existing commitments. 3. Stop inflation, deficits, and excessive debt; restore sound money. 4. Audit and consolidate duplicative agencies, programs, and bureaucracy. 5. Require sunset provisions so programs must regularly justify their constitutionality, necessity, and cost.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state means government should neither establish, control, nor compel religion, and religion itself is not the civil government. It does not mean removing faith from public life or office, nor preventing religious beliefs from influencing legislation. Citizens and officials may let faith, morality, or conscience guide their judgment. Government must protect belief and non belief alike without compelling religious observance or creating hostility toward religion.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

D, with an orderly transition. Healthcare is not an enumerated federal responsibility. Federal taxpayer-funded healthcare should be phased out and responsibility returned to states, individuals, families, charities, and private markets. However, commitments to Americans who paid into and depend on Medicare should be honored during the transition. States remain free under their own constitutions to establish healthcare programs their citizens choose.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

An individual’s medical information is among their most private information and should not be placed in a government database merely to measure economic costs. Government efficiency does not outweigh privacy. Legitimately anonymized, voluntary statistical data may inform research without identifying individuals. Medical records should remain protected, and government access to identifiable records should require lawful, particularized justification.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C. I favor a Washingtonian foreign policy: peace and commerce with all nations while avoiding unnecessary political and military entanglements. America should maintain a strong defense and act when our sovereignty, people, or security genuinely require it, but we should not police the world or wage war to remake other nations. Most importantly, the Constitution gives Congress the power to decide when the nation goes to war, not the President acting alone.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

No. Israel needs American military, financial, and diplomatic support far more than America needs Israel. I oppose permanent alliances generally. In peace, we should pursue friendship and commerce with all nations; temporary alliances should arise only from genuine wartime necessity and end with that necessity. Our special relationship with Israel has caused entanglements and harmed U.S. credibility. Israel should be treated like any nation: peacefully, but with American sovereignty first.

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration should be limited and selective, prioritizing those willing to assimilate, with Preference for Christian, Western, and similar rule-of-law nations. Congress should set a limited number admitted under each category and from each country. Applicants must enter lawfully, pass screening, have a sponsor, be self-sufficient without federal benefits, obey our laws, assimilate, and pursue citizenship. Asylum and other humanitarian claims must be supported by credible evidence.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Education is not an enumerated federal responsibility. I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and returning its authority to the states, local communities, schools, and families. Washington should not use funding to impose national curricula, testing, or education policy. States can experiment, compete, and remain accountable to the people they serve. Federal involvement should exist only where Congress is acting pursuant to an actual enumerated power.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should not finance American schools or universities in ways that create influence over curricula, research, hiring, or institutional policy. Education helps shape the next generation of American citizens, and foreign states should not be able to purchase influence over it. This restriction should target foreign governments and entities acting on their behalf, not ordinary foreign students, scholars, or genuinely independent private individuals.

VALUES

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Agree

I believe marriage is a God-ordained union of one man and one woman with a unique civil purpose in family formation. Even when biological children are not possible, adoption allows a married mother and father to provide those complementary parental roles. Stable families connecting children with both a mother and father provide an important foundation for children and society. Government therefore has an interest in encouraging this institution while respecting every citizen’s dignity.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in one God, The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit our Creator and source of truth, goodness, morality, and human dignity. Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, the way, the truth, and the life, and salvation is through Him alone. Christ died on the Cross for our sins and rose again, offering forgiveness and life. Scripture guides faith and morality, and every person, though sinful, bears worth from our Creator. Christian love is more than kindness: it rejoices in truth, seeks the genuine good of others, requires discipline and correction, and refuses to celebrate wrongdoing. My faith calls me to love God and neighbor, forgive, serve, practice humility and self-discipline, accept responsibility, and trust in redemption through Christ.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Voting determines who exercises the powers of government, so verifying the identity and eligibility of each voter is a reasonable safeguard. Photo identification should be required, but government should ensure eligible citizens have a reasonable opportunity to obtain acceptable identification affordably or free. Once that opportunity is provided, citizens have a responsibility to maintain their identification just as government has a duty to administer elections securely and fairly.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

America needs an all-of-the-above energy strategy: nuclear, fossil fuels, hydro, solar, wind, geothermal, and emerging technologies. Fossil fuels remain essential for reliable energy, while innovation should make their use cleaner and more efficient.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I consider myself more precisely a strict constitutionalist and classical liberal. I believe in natural rights from our Creator, limited and enumerated government, federalism, free markets, fiscal responsibility, religious liberty, traditional family values, individual responsibility, and strong civil liberties. I also favor a Washingtonian foreign policy and judge government action by the Constitution rather than party or ideology.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

No restrictions, except nuclear weapons. I take an absolutist view of the Second Amendment. If government may possess an arm for ordinary defense—including military firearms, armored vehicles, aircraft, or armed ships—the people should generally be able to possess it as well. Narrow safety rules for militia operations may be appropriate, but not ownership bans. As Madison warned, “The means of defense against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home.”
