QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Neutral

Human life deserves legal protection from conception to natural death. However, I respectfully decline to provide a simple yes-or-no response because the question is too broad and does not adequately address the medical, legal, and deeply personal complexities surrounding reproductive healthcare.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Neutral

I believe human life begins at conception, regardless of whether conception occurs naturally or through assisted reproductive technology. Therefore, every human embryo has inherent dignity and should be treated with care and protected from intentional destruction. At the same time, laws and policies should compassionately consider the medical realities faced by families pursuing fertility treatment.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

An elective abortion should be allowed when the pregnant woman decides, after considering her personal, medical, familial, and economic circumstances, that continuing the pregnancy is not the right choice for her. This deeply personal decision should be made prayerfully and in consultation with her physician—not dictated by politicians.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

Agree. Healthcare providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be eligible to receive government funding for essential medical services such as cancer screenings, contraception, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, preventive care, and reproductive-health education. Federal law generally prohibits taxpayer funds from paying for elective abortions, but patients should not lose access to other necessary healthcare simply because a provider also offers abortion services.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
