ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Taxes are too high. Oklahoma is not a poor state, and instead is a poorly managed state. We are hit with sales taxes, income taxes, and property taxes to fund inefficient government programs. We should reduce individual income tax since we're currently in surplus, and eliminate the state portion of the grocery tax.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We have waste fraud and abuse here. In 2021 there was a state audit of the OHCA (medicaid) here, and they found that more than 1/3 of those enrolled for medicaid, did not meet qualifications. This translates to a 1.6 Billion error on their part, of wasted tax dollars and is an example of how attention needs to be paid to these agencies, and actionable consequences should occur. While almost 20% of our state budget goes to health care, there are zero physicians in the legislature - meaning no voice at the decision making table on effective policies, bending down cost curves (Dr. and Senator Tom Coburn tried to present this one the federal level), removing the bureaucracy between patients and doctors - we must change that.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Option C comes closest to what is feasible currently, as we have elderly dependent on the Medicare/medicaid that are retired. Private insurance and Direct Primary Care options which bypass insurance are good options to permit as a way forward.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We have immigration laws in place and our borders must be secured to stop unlawful aliens into our country. Law abiding persons who follow all immigration laws, and pass citizenship tests should be allowed to become US citizens.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised by my father and mother in a Christian home, among three brothers. We read the word of God growing up, studied it, and attended church and bible study and were involved in youth groups. As an adult this continued on in raising my own children, teaching them from a loving home environment about the word of God, the importance of reading on your own and studying, as well as unceasing prayer time in all we do. Once my children were fully grown, my husband and I self funded overseas mission trips where we intentionally took predominantly muslim people who were blind from white mature cataracts, prayed in Jesus name over them prior to surgery openly and aloud, then operated on them one at a time, then the following day removed their eye patches and when they were each able to see we were certain to explain that it was Jesus who repaired their vision. I'm merely his helper. In my free clinic here, I love to slow down the pace and spend time in prayer with each of these patients. I'm running for office using biblical principles foundational as well. It's just who I am.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

We have problems here across the US with voter fraud. It's complex and convoluted as to the various ways it occurs. When I enter an airport security area, they take my photo at that moment which confirms what I look like. This would be a great starting point to do this in voting. Penalties for voter fraud should include significant criminal penalties, and surveillance needs to be improved. Voting Machines need to be secure and election integrity protected. Upon death, a person should be removed immediately from voter rolls.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. If someone believes that racism plays a part in national security, then they have drawn the faulty conclusion that without racism there would be no national security problem. Racism is a learned behavior problem taught and passed along among generations when people do not challenge their wrong behavior with Biblical truth - All humans bear the image of God and have intrinsic worth and are deserving of dignity Gen 1:27.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

God ordained our government for the good of man. Going back to the time of Moses, God gave them a set of laws which formed the basis for a new government. That government was based on religion and on loyalty to the God of Israel. Government does not for example, belong in our schools. Our country was founded on Biblical principles, and our founding documents detail the federal government's role to be limited and defined such as to "provide for the common defense", with maximum individual liberties to be secured for the people.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

1. our taxes are too high 2. Healthcare delivery takes almost 20% or 1/5 of our state budget, yet our outcomes are 45 out of 50 states. We're a predominantly rural state in terms of healthcare delivery, and to date there is no way forward in terms of legislative goals to remedy our current rankings on healthcare outcomes with wiser investments and outcomes based treatment, and ways to bend down the cost curve. There is no physician in either the house or senate to provide insight and direction on how to accomplish the goal of protecting life and ensuring better healthcare systems.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

As long as their departmental policies are appropriate in the first place. The Governor of New Mexico just suspended 2nd Amendment rights recently. If the departments policy is to follow the Governor's whim instead of statutory law or the Constitution, those actions should not be protected.
