QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
A true conservative would have to believe that a person's body is the "Ultimate Property Right". Family, Religious beliefs, and support groups need to be consulted. If we live in a country with Religious Freedoms, should not that be where the discussion starts?
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Neutral
We can not defund the health care that these organizations provide, however, we should be allowed to fun different areas differently. As well as putting restrictions on how the money is spent, No Tax money should be allowed back into political campaigns. The issue of talking about the economics of life would require a priest, a rabbi, and a minister for me to be involved.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
Again, this a personal religious question, The agrarian in me would never allow an animal to suffer. Without a moral compass is society making decisions for others in broad strokes? Again Families, Doctors, and religious beliefs come into play. What is correct for one group may not be moral for another group. Some of
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Which Tax Code? Each level has its issues, Locally I always favored a Fire and Resused Squad Tax, more of a shift with dedicated funding, We are required by law to supply the service. why not a dedicated stream to a true long-term budget can be made? Next up NJ sales Tax was implemented to pay for education. Now we pay Sales Tax and our property tax is diverted and increased to cover local school expenditures.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
All of it, 10%, and debt service is a tax on our children and the future, one of the problems with debt is the circuitous nature of non-capital projects funded by debt. Government debt has become a leviathan, the more it is fed the more it grows.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
Most people are not aware that a reduced or free education is available through community college. However there are strong financial rewards for blue-collar workforces and we do not invest there, merrit base funding is another avenue. We need to prepare our youth for a career that is functional and productive for them and society.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
When the news focuses on some group trying to force their beliefs on a business it is always for attention.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Well not because of COVID, Religious liberties are diminished when there are aggressive towards religions institutions. However churches can not threaten the structure of government.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Somewhere between B & C Medicaid and Medicare are funded through payroll deductions. Get the lawyers and the lobbyists out of healthcare and prices will come down. The cost of legal costs for doctors being in Health Care is one of the burdens of Health Care.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
That's a loaded question. COVID took us too far. Polio, Small Pox, etc were better successes. Anyone involved in the policy decision should be removed from the financial opportunities. So the government and schools have a harder threshold of proof than private employers. Employers in the private sector have a right to impose or not impose policies that they find will economically benefit them.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Terrorism is contrary to the beliefs and values of our society and its members.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Neutral
Trump was close to having peace in this region. Israel has always been a strong US ally. However, like NATO the US should not be funding the entire project.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
That is a short one. Without borders, we do not have a country.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
That is a long one. First, we need to target those that improve our society, If people are coming to do work, let's bring them in orderly so they can work and pay taxes. No one should be allowed to walk into this country.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Choice is good. Parents need options. Options force entities to perform better.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Our constitution and our monetary system are based on this.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
Gender Identity can not be used as a crutch. If someone uses Gender ID to get a job they are not qualified for at the expense of a qualified candidate that is discrimination as well.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
The separation between Church and State. Marriage is a contract, at the municipal level. It is a covenant at the religious level. I have learned that all marriages are contracts of the state, and the state grants the religious institutes the right to provide them. Maybe it should be the other way around?
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Erasing the past harms the future.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised Catholic and my core belief star there. I have strong ties with many Jewish communities. Religious beliefs are the core of the country's foundation. Judo-Christian and Agrarian foundations help guide my thoughts, My mother had a Master's Degree in Theology. She would toy with people when they said they did not believe in God because God believed in them. The proof was that they are here. I do not believe that everyone has to be in church every week to be a good person, however, many people are better served through regular attendance, as well as being part of something larger than themselves, No matter what people say, "In the end, we all talk to God".
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
One person one vote,
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I think we have to stop ballot harvesting. We also may want to look at the drinking/smoking age versus the voting age. Campaign financing as well should a local job for $50,000 require a 1.2 million dollar election? It seems disproportionate.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
My belief is that most people want equal opportunity. We lose our working-age people to drugs and basements. Communities should reflect their own beliefs and values. Work-Force development and business need to grow and reflect the community. We need to support our differences and combine them into community strengths. A team is built with members having different strengths, not all similar attributes.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
I think the false hope of this from the government is holding people back. It distracts those ill-intentioned from being productive in society.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A, A true Conservative wants to conserve and protect the environment. It goes back to my Agrarian Foundation. Our resources can be maximized without economic disadvantage. Currently in NJ we are shutting down low cost electric to kill whales and pollute the ocean to make over priced electric,
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
Agree when the groundwater and property values are protected. Natural gas, safety harvested produce clean inexpensive electricity, and it is local.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Like the Police, To Serve and Protect. That does include protect financial investments and expenditures
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
NA
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
Having studied it, I believe that Debt Service is a tax on our children, schools are miss-funded, quality police are essential to an orderly society, and we live in a zero-sum society where for the government to pay for something it has to take it from someone or somewhere else. We live in a republic where the individual's rights are protected from the masses. I believe in The Constitution Of The United States Of America. I believe that when "Society" is spending money it should have a say in how it gets spent. I believe that Parents need to be involved in their children's life and education, and should be allowed to have options. So a return to for the people by the people, fair and balance education with parental involvement. Equitable starts, with unlimited growths. Workforce development growth and support.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Mental health is a different line item.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The Second Amendment is clear, however, mental illness and criminals do require restrictions
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
We do not sue car manufacturers and liquor companies for DWIs. More people die from golf clubs hammers and clubs, opioids, etc, sensationalizing this moves the focus away from the problem.
