QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
To save the life of the mother or baby only.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Agree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Neutral
Businesses should not be forced to provide services to any customer and conversely should be cultivating their businesses. This is a delicate situation but all potential customers sjhould be treated with respect.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
They should not be able to close them at all.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
I honestly do not have answersfor this question with the exception of continuting on the path we have taken but ramping things up. We must remain vigilant regarding those who would try to harm the US and take the necessary actions to protect the Homeland.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Choose not to answer
Israel is an ally of the US and should be treated as such. However we cannot expect other countries to conform to our desires.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
I think option B feels the most comfortable to me at this time. One of the major problems with our healthcare system is the costs. Truth be told it does not matter how much insurance one has at the time of a major health crisis. Learned this from personal experience.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
After the fiasco of the pandemic we should have learned some valuable lessons regarding vaccinations in schools, employment and especially the millitary.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Exit taxes should be eliminated and Inheritance taxes lowered. Tax appeal refunds should not be totally shouldered by the municipality. Frequently a larger portion of the taxes levied go to the Board of Ed. They should share in the refund.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Too much money is awarded to nonsense grants for things that the communities will not benefit from. Stop spending, lower spending right off the top.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
What about trade schools???...Everyone is not a candidate for a college education......the next time your car or toilet breaks down call your accountant.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely. Finish the wall, hire more Border Patrol Officers. Arrest those who enter our country illegally and those who aid them.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Those persons who are thoughly vetted and not found to be criminals. This applies to any person for whatever reason that tney are immigrating here.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
Law enforcement officers should be able to do their job without the fear of prosecution. They have tne responsibility to protect the public and are underfunded and under apprecated.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
This does not make anysense at all to me. Not since Rosalind Carter has there been prominent political figure championing for good mental health treatment. Some cities are suggesting that social workers should be the ones to answer some 911 calls. Domestic violence incidents are the most dangerous calls officers can respond to and social workers just won't do it.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Mental health evaluations would be a start afterall guns do not kill people, people do. Realisticly NJ has some of the most strongest gun laws in the country. Generally those who use guns in the commission of a crime do not get them legally.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Disagree
Just plain ridiculous. Perhaps the manufacturers should but warnings on thier firearms. "It is aginst the law to use this firearm in the commission of a crime and violators will be punished in accordance with the law."
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The primary, general purpose of government is to look after the Health, Safety and Wellfare of the residents.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I am a conservative, not extreme but also not at all liberal,.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Simply enter my name on Google and a wide variety of articles I have written on many topics and numerous letters to the editor will be available.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
Definitely not applicable.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I am a no nonsense, common sense individual whose life experiences have helped make me the strong woman I am today. I beleive I am one of the fairest persons you will meet and open to discjusson on almost any subject. I support "The Parents Bill of Rights" in education. Will not vote yes for any issue that will require additional tax dollars. And, beleive that a hault should be put on off shore exploration.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
The United States was founded on Judeo-Christian values.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
That is going a bit too far, our Constitution says everyone is created equal and should be treated as such. Specially protected classes are unnecessary if we would just follow what our founders gave us.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Disagree
Marriage is a legal promise between two people. For me personally it is the union between a man and a woman.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
I am getting tired of EVERYTHING that is said or done being said to be racist. As a whole we are not a racist country. Sure there are those detractors who see things differently because they do not believe that some do not get a fair shake and rather than help rectify a situation hang the racist monicker on everything.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in one God and worship accordingly. I believe that most people are truly nice and want to live in a safe environment. I value truth, kindness, uderstanding and that nothing is ever so bad that it cannot be fixed. I value family and strive to treat others as I would like to be treated.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Just about everyone currently has some form of a photo ID. Students, drivers, corporate employees, travellers and more. Those who lack one can get a State ID. The new signature comparisson is useless as it is impossible to sign the electronic equipment satisfactorally.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Limit early voting to 3-4 days. Consider using paper ballots and strongly encourage in person voting. Institute photo ID requirements.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I do not beleive it to be a threat. We have come so far in the US that many people don't even think about discrimination issues on a regular basis.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Many of the citizens in the US did not even have family here during and immediately after slavery. Why should we have to pay tax dollars when our own families were not given a red carpet when they came here.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Neither fits my feelings and actions. I am a recycler going back to the 70's when I had to bag and transport my recyclables myself. Though not a tree hugger myself I have respect for our earth and do what I can to protect her. There is alot of money to be made in our garbage which is something we should share with our chidren.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Disagree
Fracking creates a variey of issues that we are aware of such as effecting our drinking water supplies. There has to be another way to use our resources so we can be energy independent. I am also opposed to the current off shore exploration that is going on and could be responsible for impacting NJs tourist and fishing industries as well as the marine life.
