QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am against abortion, the taking of a life, except in the event of a life threatening medical emergency. .

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Reducing/removing the car tax. Currently the Commonwealth of Virginia has the highest vehicle property tax in the nation. It is necessary to stop creating unfunded mandates to localities who in turn have to increase taxes to meet the requirement.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I am committed to reviewing waste, fraud and corruption to reduce the budget. In addition, deregulation would help reduce the size and scope of government so the budgets could be smaller.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

We need full school choice.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Under no circumstances should government close churches.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

This is a very complicated issue, which needs a complete overhaul, but at the moment my answer would be C.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

No entity should be allowed to force vaccinations on those who do not wish to take them.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Enforce immigration law.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Enforcing current immigration law is a start. Immigration law needs to be rewritten as it is outdated and doesn't address the current needs of the American workforce. We need full security screenings and safeguards in place to ensure those who are coming here have legitimate work prospects.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

Parents can make the best decisions for their children and we should not penalize them for doing so.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

You cannot read the writings of our founders and conclude anything other than this country was established on Judeo-Christian values. John Adams stated "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people, it is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." One must conclude he was not the only founder who shared this view. In fact, many including Madison, referenced scripture to support their beliefs.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As a conservative Christian who believes the Bible is the inerrant truth of God, I believe that everyone has a purpose on this Earth. As such, I follow a daily discipline of prayer and thanksgiving, praising God for all I have and interceding on behalf of others. God, Family, country and state are my priorities. I will serve my community with honor and integrity supporting family values and encouraging service above self.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

There must be laws in place to ensure that voters are who they say they are, and are citizens of this country.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Voting should occur on a day, not a season. Laws should be changed to ensure every vote counts equally and photo ID is required. In addition, non citizens should not be allowed to vote in our elections. Currently in Virginia, you can register to vote at the DMV and citizenship proof is not a part of this process.

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Our country is not fundamentally racist. The United States is not perfect, but we have the capacity to form a more perfect union. Anyone can come to this country and achieve their highest potential. No other country in the world offers this opportunity.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is not a threat to domestic security. Unfortunately the media and those who want to divide Americans for the sake of political power are pushing this agenda. Humanity should be the focus as we are all one people "e pluribus unum." I will strive to bring Americans and Virginians together to promote the well being of all people regardless of race.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

My answer would be A.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Government is intended to protect the inalienable rights of its citizens. The US Government seeks to more a perfect union by establishing justice, ensuring domestic tranquility, providing for the common defense, promoting the general welfare, and securing the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

My first legislative priority is to ensure parental rights so parents may educate and raise their children as they see fit. I want to improve educational opportunities for all students, public, private and homeschool. Addressing the unique learning styles of students instead of enforcing a "one size fits all" approach is the first step in improving education. Allowing for competitive learning environments will raise the standards for all students. Returning to core subjects and ensuring competency in those subjects in key to success. Removing indoctrination from education will be a priority. Economic opportunities is another priority. Virginians are overtaxed. We have the highest personal property/car taxes in the country and the tax burden is forcing families to move to other states. Doing business in our state requires too many regulatory requirements. I will work to deregulate where it makes sense, and examine the current tax structures to create more economic freedom. Protecting the rights of my constituents will be a priority. Making sure individual freedoms are secured including medical freedom, the second amendment right to protect oneself, and the right to worship without federal and state government intrusions.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I support constitutional carry. The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun and we need to stop punishing law abiding citizens.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
