QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
I believe every human life has inherent dignity and worth from the moment of conception. That conviction isn't just political for me. A society that fails to protect its most vulnerable members, the unborn and the elderly, has lost its moral compass. I will always stand for life at every stage.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
Human life is human life, regardless of how it came into being. Embryos created through IVF or other artificial methods are not property to be discarded. I support protecting them from purposeful destruction and believe Congress must approach these questions with both moral seriousness and compassion for families navigating difficult circumstances.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I do not support elective abortion. I believe life begins at conception, and that conviction guides my position. I recognize there are rare, medically serious circumstances, such as ectopic pregnancies and situations where the mother's life is in genuine danger, that require compassionate, case-by-case medical judgment. But elective abortion on demand is not something I can support. As your representative, I will always be on the side of life.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
American taxpayers should never be forced to subsidize the abortion industry. Planned Parenthood is one of the largest abortion providers in the country, and directing federal funding their way is unconscionable. I will vote to defund Planned Parenthood and redirect those resources to federally qualified health centers that provide comprehensive care without performing abortions.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Agree
Agree. Federal law is federal law, and the Comstock Act remains on the books. Enforcement of existing statute is not an extreme position; it is a basic function of government. Chemical abortions carry real health risks, and the mail-order distribution of these drugs without proper medical oversight is a serious public safety concern. I support enforcement.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
This is not a debatable point for me. Free markets, private property rights, and limited government interference are the foundations of American prosperity. I saw firsthand during my time in the Trump White House how pro-growth policies, deregulation, and tax cuts lifted workers and families. The answer to our economic challenges is always more freedom, not more government.
People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.
Strongly Disagree
Class warfare is not economic policy. Raising taxes on successful Americans and businesses does not help working families; it destroys the investment, job creation, and opportunity that working families depend on. The path to relief for working families is lower taxes across the board, less regulation, and an economy that grows from the bottom up.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
Our national debt is a generational crisis and Washington refuses to treat it like one. I have watched from inside the Senate and the White House as both parties kick the can down the road while the debt climbs toward $40 trillion. Enough. Real spending cuts, not baselines tricks and budget gimmicks, are essential. I will go to Washington to fight for a government that lives within its means.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
First, I would eliminate the Department of Education and return authority to states. Second, I would shut down USAID, a slush fund for left-wing initiatives with no connection to American interests. Third, I would audit all federal agencies and zero out duplicative programs. Fourth, I would end federal funding for DEI bureaucracies. Fifth, I support reforming the Federal Reserve to bring transparency and accountability to monetary policy.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Strongly Disagree. Religious liberty is the first freedom for a reason. No American should be compelled by their government to act against their deeply held moral or religious convictions.
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Those words don't appear anywhere in the Constitution. The First Amendment protects Americans from a government-established religion and guarantees the free exercise of faith. That's it. It was never meant to push religion out of public life or silence people of faith in the public square. My values are shaped by my faith, and I won't apologize for that.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
The government has no business compiling databases of Americans' private medical information. That is a invasion of privacy and a serious threat to civil liberties. Medical decisions belong to patients and their doctors, not Washington bureaucrats. I will always oppose efforts to expand government surveillance of American citizens, and that includes their health records
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
B) America cannot be the world's policeman, and unlimited foreign intervention is not a sustainable strategy. But disengagement is not the answer either. I believe in a foreign policy grounded in American interests, peace through strength, and strategic support for allies who share our values and advance our security. That is the approach President Trump has brought back to American foreign policy, and it is the right one.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
I spent time on the House Select Committee on China and I do not take this threat lightly. The CCP is engaged in a long-term, whole-of-government effort to displace American power, steal our technology, compromise our institutions, and dominate global trade and supply chains. This is the defining geopolitical challenge of our generation. We need leaders in Washington who understand the depth of this threat and are willing to act on it.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Absolutely. Israel is America's most important ally in the Middle East, a fellow democracy surrounded by hostile neighbors, and a critical partner in intelligence sharing and counterterrorism operations.
Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.
Strongly Agree
Radical Islamic terrorism remains one of the most serious threats to American lives and American interests at home and abroad. As a Navy Reservist and someone who has worked on homeland security issues on Capitol Hill, I understand that this threat has not gone away, it has evolved. We must maintain vigilance, robust intelligence capabilities, and a military posture that deters and defeats jihadist networks wherever they operate.
IMMIGRATION
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Immigration should be legal, orderly, and serve the national interest. I support a merit-based immigration system that prioritizes skills, education, and the ability to contribute to American society. People who follow the law, go through the proper process, and demonstrate a commitment to American values are welcome. What I will never support is open borders, catch-and-release, or policies that reward those who break the law to enter our country. We are a nation of immigrants and a nation of la
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
Sanctuary cities are an affront to the rule of law and a danger to the communities they claim to protect. When local governments refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement, they shield criminal illegal aliens from accountability and put innocent Americans at risk. I fully support President Trump's efforts to crack down on sanctuary jurisdictions and will vote to withhold federal funding from any city or county that defies immigration law.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
The Department of Education has spent decades centralizing control over our children's education while outcomes have gotten worse. Parents, teachers, and local school boards know what their children and communities need far better than bureaucrats in Washington. I support eliminating the Department of Education and returning that authority to the states. Florida has shown what's possible when government gets out of the way.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
Foreign funding in American education, particularly from adversarial nations like China, is a serious national security threat. It buys influence over curriculum, research, and faculty at our universities. The Chinese Communist Party has used Confucius Institutes and other vehicles to embed themselves on American campuses. This must stop. I support full transparency requirements and outright prohibitions on funding from foreign adversaries in our educational institutions.
VALUES
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Children cannot consent to irreversible medical procedures, and the adults and institutions pushing gender transitions on minors are causing serious, lasting harm. Florida has led the way in protecting children from this ideology, and I will fight to extend those protections at the federal level. Puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical interventions on minors have no place in a compassionate, responsible medical system.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
I believe marriage was designed by God as a union between one man and one woman, and that conviction is part of my faith.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My faith is the bedrock of everything I do. I am a Christian, and I believe that our rights come not from the government but from God. That belief drives my commitment to life, liberty, religious freedom, and service to others. Public service is, at its core, a calling, and I approach it that way. Growing up in Tampa, going through the military, working in the Senate and at the White House, my faith has been the constant that grounds me and keeps me focused on what truly matters.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voter ID is common sense. The integrity of our elections depends on knowing that every vote cast is a legal vote by an eligible voter. Every other major democracy in the world requires some form of identification to vote. The argument that asking for ID is somehow discriminatory is an insult to every American. Free IDs are available. I support photo ID requirements for all elections.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
This is not a complicated question. Women worked too hard and too long for equal opportunities in sports and safe spaces to have them erased by a radical ideology that ignores basic biology. Biological males do not belong in women's sports, women's locker rooms, women's shelters, or women's prisons. President Trump has taken action on this, and I will support and reinforce those protections in Congress.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
America needs nuclear, natural gas, and coal to keep the grid reliable. I support American energy dominance, lower costs for families, and keeping radical green ideology out of our energy policy.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
Protecting children from predators online is one of the clearest responsibilities government has. The explosion of social media and online platforms has created avenues for exploitation that did not exist a generation ago, and Congress has been too slow to respond. I support strong federal legislation to hold platforms accountable, equip law enforcement with the tools they need, and ensure that the internet is not a hunting ground for those who prey on children.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The Second Amendment is a constitutional right and I will defend it without apology. The problem with gun violence is not law-abiding gun owners; it is criminals, mental illness, and a failure to enforce existing law. I do not support new restrictions on responsible gun owners. I support enforcing the laws already on the books and protecting the rights of every legal gun owner.
