QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
School districts should be able to use taxpayer money for lobbying the state legislature.
Strongly Disagree
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
I would love to see truly independent school districts that rely on local funds to operate and no federal money. Parents also need options for private, charter and classical schools. We must stop accepting federal grant money.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.
Strongly Agree
Yes, absolutely! Students should be taught logic and reason and be able to discuss and debate issues including expressing faith and beliefs.
School districts should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Our country was founded on Western traditional beliefs including Christianity and belief in God. Strong communities rely on strong marriages and families. Businesses have a right to freely express their support of marriage between man and woman without fear of being canceled or banned. Teachers should be able to speak at board meetings without fear of being shut down by the mob and forced to resign.
EDUCATION
What is the function of the local school board?
The school board creates policies and procedures for the school to operate including approving a budget. They also approve curriculum and instructional materials. They hire the superintendent who carries out the goals and mission of the district.
Who should have the authority to set curriculum and determine resources used in those curricula?
The school board has the ultimate authority to select, approve and purchase the curriculum. They need to work with the district and campus educational improvement committees made up of teachers, parents and community members who give important feedback and input.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
Never
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): Mathematics, Information Technology, Science, Political Activism, Personal Finances, Gender Identity, Physical Fitness, American History, Critical Race Theory, Language Arts, Art & Music, Vocational Learning, Sexuality, Foreign Language, Social Emotional Learning
Language Arts Mathematics American History Art and Music Foreign Language Science Information Technology Physics Fitness Personal Finance Self government We need to restore grammar, logic and rhetoric!
Which more closely matches your view of America's founding principles? A) Liberty and equality. B) Slavery and racism.
A
What does "equity in education" mean to you?
Equal outcomes, which means we need to lower the bar or consistently grade on a curve so everyone passes. Everyone needs an opportunity, however we need to raise the bar and stretch our kids! They are capable, we just need to set the expectations and give them the tools to soar.
Written parental consent (opt-in) must be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Ed (CSE) or Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
Strongly Agree
Parents need a full understanding of any SEL or CSE taught in schools and then agree to it.
The loss of local control in education is too high a price to pay in exchange for federal dollars.
Strongly Agree
We need to dismantle the federal department of education and stop accepting grants and federal dollars!
Parents are the ultimate authority in their child’s education and should be able to freely pursue whatever educational options they deem best for their child.
Strongly Agree
School boards are accountable to parents and taxpayers.
Strongly Agree
Do you believe students should have access to materials that graphically depict and describe sexual acts?
No
We need high quality literature and curriculum and age appropriate instructional materials. No pornographic books.
All print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review.
Strongly Agree
Parents should not have to do open records requests to review materials or have to continuously go to the district office.
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I've been active in my church community my whole life. I believe we are accountable to God for our actions and we need to live and teach high moral values including a virtuous education for our children. We must set a high bar for our students. My kids do an early morning scripture study class before school. Teach them a good work ethic at a young age. To be respectful and trustworthy.
I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.
Strongly Disagree
Protect women's sports!
No school official should be involved in the sexual transitioning of a student, including the use of alternative names and pronouns.
Strongly Agree
We are not allowed to ask potential employees this information, why are teachers allowed to ask this information of students? Parents fill out their information when they enroll them. No teacher or employee should be allowed to solicit this information.
No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent.
Strongly Agree
Everything must have written consent from the parent. Period.
Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
Parents are responsible, however, physiology and anatomy within a science class is appropriate. Parents need to be notified how and when this will be taught and agree to opt out of any of this instruction. We do have an abstinence instruction which discusses the reality of STDs. The kids have cell phones and learn so much inappropriate information online. We need to be able to counter some of this with solid true and healthy information. Changes in body and puberty is appropriate in 5th grade.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- Physical and emotional health outcomes; contraceptive methods; consent; abstinence; sexual orientation and gender identity; human anatomy/the reproductive system; abortion methods and side effects; stages of pregnancy and fetal development; sex acts and pleasures of sex
Teach abstinence and the reality of STDs and promiscuity. Should not discuss contraceptions, sexual orientation or gender identity. Human anatomy, the reproductive system, stages of pregnancy, fetal development is important. NO to sex acts and pleasures of sex. Promote abstinence and marriage. The church and family really need to discuss dating and teach women how to advocate for themselves and say NO when something does not feel right. We need to teach etiquette and manners.
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Our government and constitution is only fit for a moral people.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
A candidate's personal moral values are relevant when considering a candidacy for elective office.
Strongly Agree
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I believe in marriage between a man and woman, protecting religious freedom and liberty, right to life, free speech. I believe we are created in the image of God and we need to nurture and protect the rising generation.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
https://texasscorecard.com/local/parents-drive-demand-for-educational-options/ Here is my website where I started a homeschool academy and taught Texas History. We went on a Texas History trip to the Alamo, Bullock Museum and Capitol. I also partnered with parents to form Unmask Texas to advocate for students all across the state of Texas. https://texasscorecard.com/state/unmuzzle-our-kids-texas-parents-fight-school-mask-mandates/
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I have been involved in education as a volunteer and substitute teacher for 15 years and have been attending and speaking at board meetings for 7 years. I was the PTO president for the elementary school and raised 100k for their academic program and started a music program. I was the PTO president at the middle school and together with the PTO volunteers, we raised $10,000 for the library. I started a home school academy in 2020 to help students during COVID that grew from 25-125 students, focusing on classical/traditional education. I have been a licensed Realtor for 20 years. I am a natural leader and know how to organize and connect with others to get things accomplished. I don't agree with the theories and gender ideologies being pushed on our kids. We need to restore academic excellence and a virtuous education.
2ND AMENDMENT
Teachers who are licensed to carry should be allowed to carry guns at school.
Agree
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Under what circumstances (if any) should schools be allowed to require vaccinations?
NONE
I support mask mandates.
Strongly Disagree
Here is the article written about me pushing to UNMASK our kids! https://texasscorecard.com/state/unmuzzle-our-kids-texas-parents-fight-school-mask-mandates/
All official open meetings should be live streamed, recorded, and have transcripts available online for public access.
Agree
All votes should be roll call votes and recorded in meeting minutes.
Neutral
We should be voting individually on the board so we can see where everyone stands on issues, NOT just a second.
