Government funding is the main source of any programs that are negatively impacting children. There needs to be a concerted effort to make school districts independent without having to implement government mandated programs because of the funding received.

At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.

We are in an environment where anything related to diversity, equity and inclusion is completely acceptable to discuss. This is a violation of our 1st amendment rights, all matters should be able to be freely discussed. The local school board should have the authority to set curriculum because they are the closest governing body to the residents and voters. The state needs to be completely removed from governing decisions in public education. The state should only pass high level policy giving the local school board broad recommendations.

I am a wife, mom, and a nurse with medical experience and in an environment as such we are in, I believe medical expertise would be useful. I decided to run to bring awareness that we are seeing an exodus of great teachers that we must invest in. Secondly, I am running to protect academic excellence and protect instructional materials that our kids are being exposed to during school hours.
