QUESTIONNAIRE*
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
In my opinion, this is the most significant cultural and religious issue of our time.
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
The primary objective of a public school is delivering quality education for students and the funding granted by taxpayers is limited. Our role in a challenging situation such as this should be to work with parents or guardians in connecting the student with resources and support. Referrals should include pregnancy crisis support that presents all options. Beyond that, I would encourage our administrative and teaching teams to provide additional supports to ensure the young woman is able to continue working toward her diploma.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
"Separation of Church and State," is not in the constitution and has evolved to mean something extremely harmful to the original intent of our Founders. We must always respect each other's freedom to practice a chosen religion. While I would not endorse a public school environment where teachers espouse their religious beliefs, our students should never feel they cannot communicate and practice their own beliefs, so long as they are not disrupting class time or other school operations.
ECONOMY
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Strongly Agree
The concept of student loan "forgiveness" should really be called "forcing someone else to pay for your decisions."
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Absolutely not. Taxpayers being forced by government to take on a financial burden like this undermines the foundational ideals of this country and would contribute to its ruin. Those that support this idea can feel free to reimburse me for my four children's childcare and university costs. If they hesitate at that suggestion, then they should know this is a ridiculous idea for their fellow citizens.
IMMIGRATION
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.
Strongly Agree
The current situation of illegal criminal aliens must be addressed. Shame on the people that created this mess in the first place. My husband is a legal immigrant. The process was not easy but we would never have dreamed of defying American laws.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
While I cannot stop a counselor from pointing a student (with parental/guardian permission) to services including pregnancy centers and Planned Parenthood, I would not support their physical presence in our schools. I reject the entire propaganda of "gender affirming care," which culminates in the mutilation of children. I have been very vocal about this since my first election campaign and will continue to do so.
Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
Consistent consequences for behavioral issues benefit everyone - the student perpetrating the behavior, classmates and teaching staff. This is a stance I have communicated frequently at board meetings and in conversations with administration. Furthermore, our parent, student and teacher survey data confirms that the steps we have taken in this regard are working.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
The lack of a robust civics understanding is perhaps one of the greatest threats facing our culture today. We are currently reviewing our social studies curriculum and this is a topic I have emphasized consistently. I will continue to seek a more robust civics content for our students as a part of this process.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
Abstinence, consent, contraceptive methods, human anatomy/the reproductive system, physical and emotional health outcomes, stages of pregnancy and fetal development.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning
With limited funding, I believe the core subjects should be prioritized: American History/Civics, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science. However, in order to have well-rounded students, I also support the presence of art and music, foreign language, personal finances, physical fitness, informational technology and vocational learning (specifically in middle and high school)
Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.
Strongly Agree
School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.
Agree
I support school choice, particularly in areas where the public option is not delivering. At the same time, I defend the existence of public education to ensure all students get opportunity and think it is not always an apples to apples comparison since public schools are held to a number of statutory requirements that charters and private organizations are not. Unfortunately, not all public school education is serving its families or communities well and with accountability.
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Agree
I agree with the need to protect our students. However, the process by which to undertake this must be very pragmatic to ensure we are equipping trained people and limiting liability for the school and would need broad community support.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.

I may have also voted in 2014 and 2018 but cannot recall.
What political party are you affiliated with?
Republican
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
VALUES
Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Disagree
There is no gray area here. The fact that this is even a debate is an insult to all women have accomplished over the past century.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian, conservative mother-of-four who loves this country and the values it was founded on.
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
God is above government. While our legal system may recognize same sex marriage, I do not believe it is God-ordained.
Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.
Strongly Agree
School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.
Strongly Disagree
We don't need "experts" to define obscenity for us. The expert class undermines the very concept of self-governance, in my opinion. Let local communities decide what is acceptable to be shelved in their own libraries and parents/guardians have a view into what students are selecting as they should have the final say.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
We can all show our I.D. to undertake one of the most critical acts of citizenship. There is no argument against voter i.d. that is logical and proven accurate.
