ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

While education may not be a "fundamental right" under the Constitution, the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment requires that when a state establishes a public school system (as in Texas), no child living in that state may be denied equal access to schooling. Public schools play an essential role in our state education our future leaders.

The function of a school board is to establish the vision and goals for the public schools in their district, and they set standards for the performance of schools and superintendents.

Equity in education requires putting systems in place to ensure that every child has an equal chance for success. That requires understanding the unique challenges and barriers faced by individual students or by populations of students and providing additional supports to help them overcome those barriers.

The sex education that we received in school was through the health class. It was a high level overview and it worked. With the internet now, students can search and find anything. They need guidance by their guardians/parent to manage this information.
