RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The decision should be between a woman, her doctor, Life partner, or whoever she confides with on such matters.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Neutral
If these procedures are elective, I believe the individual should be responsible for cost incurred. If for medical reasons it should be covered by medicare or private insurance.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Corporations should pay a more fair share to support the country whose infrastructure and work force made it possible that company to thrive.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
defence
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Agree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Agree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
If used as a front for illegal activity
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
B
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
School boards already require immunizations before students can attend . I think that to protect the individual and those around them vaccinations work.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
I feel we have a greater danger of domestic terrorism from militia groups and white supremacists
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Agree
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Neutral
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Read the plaque on the Statue of Liberty. It says it all
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Disagree
Private schools and home school is fine as long as they are self funding from tuition or other source than government.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Agree
I don't know anything about CRT other than it's a dog whistle phrase used to stir up a particular group of Americans. I don't think the institutions are fundamentally racist. They are inherently racist. We are a divided nation with an us and them mentality. Until we can accept the fact that we are all of the same race, the human race, we will have racial issues.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised as a Catholic. Though not practicing, I do believe we should treat each other with respect and dignity as we would want to be treated. Help those who are less fortunate than we are to improve their life situations.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Agree
but if required, the state making such demand should provide such ID and make the process of obtaining such easy for the population.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I would like to see the elimination of the electoral college and go with the popular vote results
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Did not answer
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Neutral
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Government has an obligation to usher in an orderly switch to cleaner energy sources. These changes must be introduced in a manner that allows for a timely transition that doesn't leave those in the fossil fuel industry stranded without a means. Training for new jobs created in this industry should also be provided.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Disagree
I think that the proprietary slurry pumped into the earth to extract resources at these fracking sites does irreparable harm to the aquifers and the planet in general.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Government should be a source of relief in time of crisis, like flood, earth quake, hurricane, Etc. . Defense of the country, and to provide a framework from which state and local municipalities can govern.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Liberal
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Pro-Choice Wyoming PAC Survey, League of Women Voters of Wyoming survey, and wyvote.vote survey
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
no
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I want to work for the people of Converse County to make the lives of each citizen better, work to have schools that teach our children how to think not what to think, and guaranty the right of women to have access to reproductive healthcare.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Disagree
More training of officers is required. It seems from reports in the news that police shooting civilians has increased. Department policies should be periodically examined and modified as needed
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
I don't think police departments should be given hand me downs from the military. We need the police, they play a role in our society. Taking funding from the police is not the solution. It's a shame that our prison system is the number one provider of mental healthcare. We need to expand our healthcare programs to include options that offer such services.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I do support back ground checks for gun purchases.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Disagree
If victims of gun violence could sue gun manufacturers then victims of drunk driver accidents should be able to sue distillers, brewers and car manufacturers.
