OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should only be allowed if the life of the mother is in danger.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

Forced government redistribution of income is immoral. People should be free to be charitable only if they choose to do so.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I am a vehement supporter of H.R. 25, The FAIRtax. It is a revenue neutral, yet TOTAL overturning of our current tax system. The personal income tax would be ended, as well as payroll taxes, capital gains, and the estate tax. The IRS would essentially be de-funded, and we would pay a flat sales tax of 23% on all NEW goods and services. It gets rid of loopholes, taxes more of the underground economy which currently goes un-taxed. It is also progressive in the fact that the more you spend, the more you pay, and it doesn't leave those on low or fixed incomes behind. Every (legal citizen) family receives a monthly prebate or refund that "un-taxes" their consumption up to the poverty level of spending. It is simple, fair, practical, and lobbyists hate it. There is also companion legislation to repeal the 16th amendment (individual taxation). You can find out more at www.fairtax.org

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

ALL of our liberties are at risk in the United States right now, and ALL liberties deserve the highest protection. It is LITERALLY the government's job to protect our natural rights.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

The constitution is very clear that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." This does not mean that religion can have no place in government. We are free to exercise faith, or not, in every aspect of our lives. It is important however for us to have some kind of a common moral foundation in order for our Republic to survive. As John Adams said, "Our constitution was written only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the governance of any other," and James Madison, "If men were angels, no government would be necessary." Wise words from wise men.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None. People should ALWAYS have the opportunity to decline if they so choose. Medical freedom is important for bodily autonomy.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

The government is not a bank, nor is it a health care provider, nor is it an insurer. Our Constitution gives it no such provision, and thus my answer would be D, HOWEVER, like all federal welfare programs, they must be ended with much thoughtfulness and careful planning.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

Answer C resembles my views exactly.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

See response to question Number One in this section.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

I would pose the following question as my answer: Is it the responsibility of the United States to eradicate that threat? I don't think that threat will ever go away because it is based on the firmly held religious beliefs of a certain people group. If the moderate Islamic community wants to combat the terrorists within their own faith, I think that would be preferable. Any other faith group should do the same.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We have currently allowed immigration, both legal and illegal, to rise to an unsustainable level. I believe a moratorium on immigration may be necessary to one: come to an agreement on deportation, paths to citizenship, and the humanitarian crisis that persists because of lack of infrastructure and housing for the millions of people who come here; two: how to properly care for the children who came here alone; three: actually follow the laws on the books while implementing those that have been passed but never used.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Neutral

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born-again follower of Jesus. Without Him I am nothing, and because of Him I can do all things because it is Him who gives me strength.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Laws to change voting practices should be enacted by the people on a state-to-state basis. My personal opinion is that it would be beneficial for all states to implement their own voter-id laws and practice in-person voting as much as possible with paper ballots.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Racism is not a threat to our security, nor is it rampant, nor is it systemic and it is being perpetuated by those who want to divide our nation by class, and race, and gender. The real threat to domestic security in the United States is its own government.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Answer A comes closer to my view. Again, I refer to the constitution. It is not the federal government's responsibility to be inserting itself into our energy industries. It should not be subsidizing energy corporations of any kind, and if states want to regulate energy and environmental impacts within, they are welcome to do so because the 10th amendment applies.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am a strict constitutionalist. I want to tear the government off of its broken pedestal and shrink it back down to its enumerated powers. All of my legislative priorities boil down to that foundational basis. The constitution guarantees our liberties and is supposed to be a chain around the government. Our officials have long since broken that chain and it needs to be reforged. I believe that regular folks who are virtuous servant leaders are what is needed in DC to do this. People who won't back down from their oath to uphold and defend the constitution no matter how much money is thrown at them. People who think outside the box. People who will readily answer their citizens questions without any spin. Truth matters, and we need a whole lot more of it in the faces of the people. I also would love for the voters to know that I am a wife of 16 years, a mom of 4, a musician, a kombucha brewer, and an avid gardener. I'm NOT different from you. I'm NOT better thank you. And I frickin' love America!

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

Qualified immunity should be applied ONLY as long as an officer's behavior is consistent with departmental policy. This is why body-cams are absolutely necessary; they not only protect the officer from the citizen, but the citizen from the officer.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

Mental health and community programs are absolutely necessary but should not be a replacement for good policing.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. The second amendment is clear, and the desire to commit violence is a mind and heart problem not a gun problem. More morality and value for human life in America would reduce all violence let alone gun violence.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
