RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I do not believe that the government has the right in any capacity to legislate what a woman is permitted to do with her body. I believe that only the person carrying a baby and their partner should be involved in the decision. Like any other medical procedure for men or women, the circumstances should be dictated by doctor and patient.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
While a woman should have complete autonomy to decide what is best for her body, I do not feel that the government exists fo fund these institutions. They should be privately funded.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
I believe in a person's personal autonomy in deciding to end his or her own life by assisted suicide. No one should have to go through the horrific pain and poor quality of life when faced with a terminal illness or injury unless they choose to do so. That's inhumane and unnecessary. Additionally, I don't believe that the government should be granted the ability to interfere with a person's end of life decisions.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Individuals are the best stewards of their time and funds and taxation is an overreach of the government. Since the complete elimination of taxes is not a likely scenario, I would simplify the tax code so that it is easily understood and have a flat income tax.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would defund the IRS and stop sending funds overseas to support other nations while our citizens struggle. I support the removal and abolition of every government department and function that is unconstitutional, unneeded or that is better served by the private sector. I would sell the US Postal service and end its monopoly privileges and with it the government subsidy of the organization. The United States should end all government employee retirement packages; retired workers should be expedted to operate on Social Security with the same taxes and tax rules, retirement age, and terms as what private sector employees. Government employee wages should be reduced to match those of private sector employees. I would cancel planning and construction of unneeded municipal buildings while concurrently selling unused/unneeded municipal buildings and utilize the profits to lower taxes or retire bonds. In order to cut government spending on jails and prisons I would decriminalize Marijuana which would drastically reduce the number of incarcerated individuals. I also support defunding and eliminating Obamacare and mandated coverage requirements along with it.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
I feel that government ownership, operation, regulation, and subsidy of schools from the elementary level through the college level should be ended as compulsory education laws create an almost prison like environment within the school. The schools are then faced with many of the same issues that prisons face. I believe that there should be a complete separation between government and education.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
While I think goods and services should be traded openly and willingly in a free economy, I do not think the government has the right to interfere in the practice of religious beliefs. The First Amendment to the Constitution says “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof …”
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
The U.S. Constitution protects the separation of church and state in numerous ways, but most explicitlyin the 1st Amendment where it is asserted that no established federal Church can ever exist and that no federal law can abridge the freedom of religion. The government closing churches breaches the freedom of religion and separation of church and state.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
D-There should be no taxpayer funded health care
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
There are no circumstances where government, schools, or employers should be permitted to require vaccines
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
The US should work to improve communication and working relations with the countries in which borderless terror groups reside and are protected. I believe shoring up the influx of people illegally entering our country would help ensure that known members of terror groups are not slipping in undetected.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
While I believe that all peaceful people should be permitted entry into our nation, I think that the proper legal channels must be followed. Though I encourage and welcome those seeking a better life in the U S, I believe that it is the government's duty to protect its citizens from those who have a record of violence, credible plans for violence, or act violently.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Any peaceful person should be permitted to immigrate to the U. S. Currently our immigration process is a catastrophic embarassment. The legal procedures to immigrate are complex, costly, and lengthy. Creating a simpler system that enables people to easily immigrate is imperative.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
I would like to remove barriers to school choice, and put the financial resources confiscated from Americans through school taxes back into their households to help fund their own educational choices. Educators and students should be able to work directly with each other to establish their own standards, timelines, and costs. School choice promotes competition, which breeds innovation, cost-effectiveness, and better outcomes for students — which means a better future for our nation.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Disagree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I personally hold Christian beliefs.I was a certified pastor in a non denomonational christian church a couple years ago. I do not, however, believe that my values and beliefs are right for everyone nor do I believe they should be utilized to govern.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I think that people should have to show identification to vote. This ensures a fair election and prohibits voter fraud. I have to show ID at the doctor's office to prove my identity. How much more important is it to ensure a fair election of our nation's leaders?
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Voters should show ID when voting to ensure their identity and that they are registered. I support the idea that felons who have served their sentance and have been freed should have their right to vote restored.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I think that racism is not currently a threat to domestic security in the United States, but it could be. CRT has a definite anti-Caucasian bias which serves to teach that current generations should be held accountable for the actions of prior generations. This is quite devisive and drives a wedge between children of color and their Caucasian classmates. Rather than uniting students and teaching them to build a better tomorrow together, we teach them to look back and carry the ideas and burdens of previous generations. If this trajectory continues, future generations will be more divided and it will cause a security threat.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The role of government should be limited. It shod operate within the explicit constitutional guidelines and not interfere with free trade or the everyday lives of citizens.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Lean Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Did not answer
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I believe in individual freedom and free markets. I feel that your rights do not end where feelings begin. We are guaranteed certain inalienable rights and the government should not restrict those.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Disagree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The constitution does not place any restrictions on gun ownership.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
