The function of the school board is to govern. To govern is to conduct the policy, actions and affairs of the school district. Effective governing is to demonstrate responsiibility and accountability and to provide the district freedoms but with structure. The Board has five responsibilities: 1. Write and adopt student outcomes. 2. Monitor student outcome goals using a monitoring calendar and report. 3. Write policy. 4. Approve the budget and set the tax rate. 5. Hire, terminate, and conduct an evaluation of their one employee, the superintendent.

I am the Voice of Reason for Round Rock ISD.
2ND AMENDMENT
Teachers who are licensed to carry should be allowed to carry guns at school.

While I am a supporter of the 2nd amendment, many questions about having guns roaming the schools remain unanswered. I will be seeking more information on this topic from security experts.
