Thirty years ago, Paul Wellstone said in a campaign speech, "If you want to reduce poverty, invest in education. If you want to stabilize the middle class, invest in education. If you want to improve the economy, invest in education. If you want men and women who can think on their own two feet and participate in democracy, invest in education.” His words are still true today. We must educate all our children.
