RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion is an issue between a woman and her doctor. The idea of normalizing abortion to deal with irresponsible sexual activities is not acceptable either. As a father myself, my personal view on abortion is that it's a sad method of dealing with a "problem" that has real consequences. As a liberty-oriented citizen however, it’s not my business to involve myself in that decision. It’s also not good to have government sticking their nose into an issue it cannot understand. The idea that a woman who subjects herself to having an abortion should be potentially tried in court and sentenced as a murderer is absurd and would be a scary precedent to set. Abortion should remain legal, decriminalized etc. Pro-life groups should focus on providing services like education and health funding to women who are not sure about their decision. Access to adoption should be made cheaper and easier to help provide recourse for mothers who may not want to have an abortion but also may not want to raise their child. There are solutions here without the extremes.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

My goal is to limit the size and scope of government. This would support that cause. Public sector entities, Non profits and charities can fill the space.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Agree

Personal responsibility for your own body, property and life are a core function of a free society. You own your life and should be able to do as you wish with it especially in times of terrible illness. A law should not be needed to clarify these rights... but here we are...

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Ideally, I would like to see school property taxes eliminated. This will reduce a major hurdle to home ownership by lowering monthly payments and thus opening doors the lower income families and individuals to own a house. School funding should be provided to students directly by the state and spent by parents on their choice of school. Since PA is constitutionally mandated to provide education, funds can be born out of a small tax increase in sales or income for the state. Frankly, I would like to see only 2 taxes. Income and Sales tax. All services should be paid out of these taxes. This will simplify revenue tracking and help us better assess the role PA government plays in our lives.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I feel the principal here is to reduce spending across the board. Having the tools and team in place after getting elected will be helpful in creating a path toward less government spending to balance the decrease in taxes.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

College is not a requirement for success. We constitutionally mandate education k-12. Let's focus resources on that. Let individuals decide if college makes sense financially for them or not. Fund individuals not systems. Lay a foundation for personal responsibility.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

No one should be compelled to participate in anything they disagree with. Business should be able to fire based on their own beliefs as well. If we value liberty, we value that which with disagree with as well.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

There are no circumstances. Churches should never be closed by government outside of obvious reasons like building condemnation.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

My position on healthcare is simple; Get government out of healthcare. Much like anything else, when government subsidizes something, the cost goes up. Look at education over the last 4 decades for example. Healthcare is not a right. To say it is a right is to say that you are entitled to the labor of others. The last time we had an entitlement to the labor of others was before the emancipation. I don’t think we want to revisit that time of history again… Healthcare costs are raging out of control, and I believe it is because we have an industry that is over regulated and hard for competition to break into. The overhead of paperwork and regulatory tape has driven up the costs for small practices making it difficult for them to exist. We have consolidated health to large corporations and forgone the ability to have small health providers thrive. We have blank checks written for services and equipment that allow for producers and services to set a price instead of the free market. If there was an absolute need for government to be involved and I got to choose where I would be involved, it would be at the state and local level. Let smaller groups of constituents dictate health care instead of the federal government involvement.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

In government, never! Vaccinations should always be a choice! People are best able to make decisions for themselves and reap the consequences thereafter. Never in school. Parents should dictate their children's health needs not government or school administrators. I would, however, allot the freedom for a business to fire an employee for not getting vaccinated. Its a private company and has the right to dictate its own policy. Employment in PA is at will and should be.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Stop creating terrorist by blowing up women and children in their countries. That is not collateral damage, that is terrorism of it's own kind. War is a racket. Blow-back from violent, terribly foreign policy is real. They hate us because we kill their loved ones and it needs to stop.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

I don't support any acts of war. Sanctions are an act of war! We have no business interjecting ourselves over there.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Agree

We need to fix the incentive for people have to illegally come to this country. We have a welfare state that caters to illegal immigrants allowing for them to be rewarded for their trek into the United States. A strong border i important to help ward off bad actors that would do us harm here but to think that a strong border is the ultimate ward against these people is silly.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. but we have a process that must be followed. If you fill the paperwork out and wait out the time limits, learn our culture, contribute to our identity of a diverse and prosperous nation; i will welcome you with open arms. Bring your culture, start a business, have children and participate in our elections. Be with us because, by default, you are the seed of what the United States is. We are a mix of everything. The salsa of the world so to speak. All Americans should embrace this.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

HELL YEA! No one will ever have as much interest in a child's education as a parent will (most times at least). Parents should be empowered to participate in their children's education. They should be given choices and resources to mold their kids according to the own values and principals. Today we have systems that do their best to provide an education that is influenced by legislators and lobbyists. We need to de-fund systems and fund students directly. Let a free market of education thrive!

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Neutral

Separation of church and state is still important. Christian values have contributed a lot to the world along with many other religions. There is no supreme religion other than being good to your neighbors. The golden rule is naturally occurring and strong.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I have to draw the line here... Blacks have real historical reasons to have protection from discrimination. Gays have real historical reasons to have protection from discrimination. Gender identity does not meet the criteria for needing protection from discrimination. You have so many perceived variations of gender by today's standards, it would be hard to prove discrimination for each new created perceive gender variation.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Disagree

Government should have no involvement in marriage. Want limited government? This is one step toward that.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Neutral

As a minority who grew up in the city, i can see lines drawn toward institutions being racist. Criminal justice systems are definitely skewed toward incarcerating minorities disproportionately to whites. I do not know enough about CRT to have a strong opinion in either direction.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I grew up catholic and transitioned to being generally agnostic. I believe in a higher power, just not looking to define it completely. I respect all religions so long as they leave me alone and don't push their doctrine through force.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

There is pretty much no reason for anyone to not have some kind of identification at this point.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Go back to voting in person. I personally do not trust the idea of mail in ballots being counted properly.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Not really. Having views that are discriminatory toward groups of people is a right in a free society. I do not see it as a threat to the country though. Everyone is allowed to have a gun and protect themselves when they need to so the peace will be mostly maintained.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Uhhhhh no. No one alive today was a slave before emancipation. Reparations is just a pretty word leftist candidates are trying to use to sparkle in front of minorities to manipulate support. They don't give a damn about these people in the end and we all know it.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Enforce the laws we have on the books already. Enforce property rights and protections. Let people sue when corporations do not follow the DEP guidelines. Let people get big hefty rewards for reporting violations that harm their property... What good are good laws that aren't enforced? Property Rights > Corporate Profits and Tax Revenues

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

If done safely and with property rights of others in mind. We have great natural resources here in PA. We should be leveraging that to become economic leaders in the country.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Enforce good laws. Protect life liberty and property. Stay the hell out of our way.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I am a Libertarian. I want less government and more freedom. I want the risk of more liberty at the cost of security. The way this country was intended to be.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

no

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I want more school choice. I want less government regulation. I believe taxation is theft and the more we allow to be taken away from us the harder it will be to come back. Covid was a wake-up call for all of us who are liberty oriented. The absolute disrespect from government during the lock downs was unacceptable. We need strong leaders with principals grounded in liberty. I am your liberty candidate for the 41st district!

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Disagree

Police officers are not above the law. They should be held to a higher standard than civilians.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Why? Mental health can be worked on from the public sector or non profits. Police aren't responsible for mental health issues in our country.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. next question.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Can people sue fast food restaurants for making them overweight? Who is responsible for gun violence? people who commit gun violence. Who is responsible for your health? You are.
