Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

If you believe that the human spirit and body are separate, the spirit never dies regardless of the human body.
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Yes every life is valuable especially the biological mother who is placed in charge of being the incubator. Her wellbeing is paramount. The time to decide if you want to be pregnant is before you get pregnant. The New Testament starts with a story of a child who was born with out his mother knowing a man. Abstinence didn’t work. Abstinence is not reliable birth control. I’m for educating youth to understand the complexities of pregnancy. Every pregnancy puts the mom at risk.adoption is not answ.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Yes, but remember competition is essential to free enterprise.
School districts should be able to use taxpayer money for lobbying the state legislature.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Democracy dies in darkness. Educating the electorate is the only way to assure democratic representation. If the people and the government are to survive, we must educate. Education is the answer to all problems that face the world.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.

Remember the separation of church and state is a fundamental part of our society. We must remember that all religions and logic deserve the opportunity to express and share constructive ideas.
School districts should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

SB is there to lead and guide the educational process. And vote on specific issues.
Who should have the authority to set curriculum and determine resources used in those curricula?
Those who have been educated and either elected or appointed to lead with the guidance and knowledge of all involved.(students, teachers, parents, staff and community)
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
Parents should be allowed to communicate with the school board during allotted times. They also should be allowed to share their ideas with the school board through correspondence and should be able to communicate with elected officials on a regular basis.

Athletics ,accurate history , science, mathematics, art and music , I believe voting should start at 16 years old , understanding globalism, understanding that exceptions exist in gender identity. Language skills, realization that discrimination of the past set the table for the present, financial responsibility, learning that democracy is participatory it is more than just voting, understanding that time moves forward… what is reality today will adapt tomorrow.

America was founded in Liberty equality, during a time that slavery and racism were omnipresent.
What does "equity in education" mean to you?
Balance in education that allows those whom may not have had opportunities in the past to achieve today. We all need to realize that fairness and competition benefits everyone.
Written parental consent (opt-in) must be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Ed (CSE) or Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

Whatever is taught in schools should not be a secret to the Community . Parents should have access to this type of information. Assuming that the parents have been informed this should not be an issue . Many parents sign forms without even reading them. When the parents are half asleep they will sign anything.
The loss of local control in education is too high a price to pay in exchange for federal dollars.

You have to define what you mean by loss of control. There is plenty of time to share local perspectives with students through out the year.
Parents are the ultimate authority in their child’s education and should be able to freely pursue whatever educational options they deem best for their child.

I grew up in a Catholic family. I have studied with The Latter Day Saints and Jehovah Witnesses. And I have been roommates with Hebrews. I also respect Islam and any religions that support a better more constructive future.
I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Athletics is about competition. Athletes should be able to choose who they compete against and when they compete against them. And they should be kind.
No school official should be involved in the sexual transitioning of a student, including the use of alternative names and pronouns.

Read the room. Use words that won’t offend you or whom ever that you are talking to. It’s not a teacher’s job to promote gender choices.
Therapy to help children turn from unwanted same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria should be banned.

When I hear this , I always think of a potential SNL skit with Liberace in a room with 3 male Christians just out of church trying to convert him. The idea of converting him is laughable. Lead by example if people choose to follow , maybe you know what you are doing.
No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent.

First you have to define what sex is. For some people talking about sex is sex.

I’ve never been guilty of anything that I have been charged with. I don’t want to blame the system when they were the ones on trial. I will let them defend themselves if they wish.
