RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When a woman decides that she wants or needs one. I strongly defend a woman’s right to choose.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

I support the expansion of services to help parents raise strong healthy well educated children.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Disagree

I will propose and support legislation that will financially support public education. I want to obtain educational funding for our public pre-K-12 children to develop outlets to engage them with activities, mental health programs, and nutritional programs. The COVID-19 pandemic made education disparity in Georgia even more apparent.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Did not answer

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

B As a scientist, I understand the urgency of taking action to protect our environment and slow global warming. As a mother and a community member, I am passionate about leaving a better world for those who will inherit it. As our next Georgia House representative, I will support legislation to make Georgia’s air, water, and land safer and cleaner. I will fight to combine social justice with environmental protection, saving trees and rivers but making sure that all Georgians have safe water and clean air.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

It is common sense that we provide regulation to deadly weapons, as we regulate automobiles and drivers. I support raising the age to purchase guns, requiring enhanced background checks for all purchases, limiting the sale of high-capacity magazines, and requiring gun owners to secure their weapons. Gun violence has become a public health crisis, as a public health scientist I am uniquely qualified to find and implement changes to protect Georgia’s schools and Georgia’s children.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
