QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

If we are going to be a society that strives for dignity in life, why should we turn our backs on dignity in death? We are all equal in the eyes of Death; the end of life comes for everyone regardless of station in life. We should be able to die as fearlessly as we life.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

It is not the government's place to dictate how, when, where, and why our bodies are to be used. The decision belongs to the person who is pregnant, their doctor and both of their consciences. It's not for me to make a decision for someone who is facing pregnancy. To even think about interfering flies in the face of what I understand about freedom.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Agree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Neutral

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

The more income you make, the more your tax burden should be. For those who are billionaires, they should be taxed on value of assets, not just "income." Any entity conducting business on American soil should be taxed according to their revenue made by selling to Americans, regardless of company headquarters. Donations to super political entities beyond $200 per calendar year will not be eligible for tax deduction, this includes churches.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

The religious liberty should be protected, but not just for Christians. Atheists, Heathens, Pagans, Muslims, Jews, EVERYONE must be protect to the same degree.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Neutral

Let the customer vote with their dollars.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

America is not a theocracy, we are not a white version of the Taliban. Churches that preach politics should absolutely lose their tax-exempt status.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Schools should be able to require vaccinations. By doing so they are putting the needs vulnerable, immuno-compromised students above pseudoscience.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Healthcare should be guaranteed for all citizens. How can we expect people to be present for their families and other endeavors when they are constantly worry that the smallest incident will bankrupt them.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

The United States has become the world's police. We would be better served becoming the world's EMT. This perspective does not prevent us from bringing the full force of the American military to bear when another country threatens us or our allies.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Choose not to answer

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Where the Soviet Union was the existential threat to the United States during the Cold War, China has emerged as a present and persistent threat to the United States, our interests abroad, and our industry here at home.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The U.S. should be using soft power, economic incentives, and diplomatic means backed with the credible threat of military action to suppress the spread of terrorism.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Disagree

The southern border is only one aspect of a complex immigration issue. Some of the problems come from abroad with conflict, corruption, totalitarianism, and famine, other problems belong to us, like our inefficient and underfunded immigration system.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Disagree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

America is the land of opportunity. Immigration and immigrants do not make our nation weaker; they make us stronger. With the exception of indigenous Americans, we are all immigrants.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Agree

The Declaration of Independence clearly states that we all have the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Discrimination against people who are seeking happiness is unAmerican.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Neutral

Critical Race Theory is a graduate-level study that I have limited experience with. There are strong elements of racism in America that we do need to address.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am personally atheist. I also believe that the freedom of religion is guaranteed under the First Amendment to the Constitution. Unless you are using your religion to persecute others, one's beliefs are none of my business.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Agree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Passage of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and redistricting should be taken out of states' hands.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Choose not to answer

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a threat to national security; the insurrection on January 6, 2021 was concrete proof of that.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Disagree

The mining, processing, and burning of fossil fuels is a strong contributor to climate change.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

B

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

My views are dependent on the topic, not a political ideology.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

no.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Disagree

Qualified immunity protects law enforcement from matters that are definitively against policy.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Gun control is not the answer to gun violence. There are so many contributing factors that lead a person to commit violence. Guns do make it easier. If we treat the root causes of gun violence, gun control is unnecessary.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
