Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Disagree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Governments should pay to develop wind and solar energy solutions until they are economically feasible.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

There are no medical circumstances in which an abortion would be the only way to save the life of the mother except with ectopic/tubal pregnancies, in which it is impossible to save the child with current medical technologies. Otherwise, absolutely no exceptions. I have a 100% Pro-Life Voting Record in the AZ State Senate according to Cathi Herrod with Center for Arizona Policy.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

America's Founders were heavily influenced by the protestant understand of Original Sin known as "Total Depravity," the theological notion that all aspects of our being are tainted by sin, which is our relational rebellion against God. Sin is what supposedly would make life in a state of nature "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short." In order to make a republic work, we must "divide and arrange the several offices in such a manner as that each may be a check on the other."

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

From my church's website: The Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God that tells us what to believe and how to live. There is one God, revealed in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ came in the flesh born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, was raised from the dead, ascended into Heaven and will come again to judge the living and the dead. All people are sinners and need the grace of God. Salvation is only through faith in Jesus

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

In the Arizona State Senate, I established a rock solid record as an effective conservative legislator, with 19 bills signed into law in 2015 alone. My priorities were framed by an "AZ, Not DC" approach, which motivated my Second Amendment Protection Act and my Fourth Amendment Protection Act, nullifying any federal infringements on The Bill of Rights. If it is not among the enumerated powers in Article I, Section 8, according to the 10th Amendment, it should not be done.

Additional comment from candidate:

Q #17...I'd prefer that the government had never gotten involved in marriage....it is an institution ordained by God in Genesis, so it should not involve bureaucrats. Q #21...Especially with such an expansive welfare state "safety net" Constitutional Isn't Optional.
