QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Choose not to answer
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
This should be up to the individual. Not a reality that women would terminate their child in the last trimester, just doesn't happen.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Agree
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Agree
Start with the bloated military budget. Install an auditable accounting system their that will stop the waste, fraud, abuse and improper payments. Would save Billions. Also, we are always in a state of war which needs to stop. We have given Ukraine over $10 Billion which means in effect we are engaged in the war against our favorite boogeyman Russia. Think of what infrastructure and assistance for our unhoused veterans that we could have provided with the Trillions wasted in Iraq & Afghanistan.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Eliminate the tax code. Repeal the 16th Amendment. Close down the IRS. We should not be taxing income. We should replace income taxes with a national consumption tax. See the FairTax.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Disagree
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
Churches get too many advantages now being tax exempt.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Don't agree with required vaccines. If we had better school choice, then those schools that want to enforce a vaccine are free to do so.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Agree
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
Always has been a threat which is why it is so puzzling that so many Americans are willing to buy Chinese merchandise and prop up that oppressive regime.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
There is just as much terrorism from the Islamic states as their is from domestic sources. Daily mass shootings, attacks on innocents and schools and public spaces is terrorism. The US does not address this very well. As for the so-called Islamic terror, what did you expect the reaction was going to be after we invaded and caused irreparable harm to innocent civilians and disrupted whole societies. We should not be surprised at Putin's push in Ukraine after we showed him the model to invade.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Disagree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
A reasonable spread of immigration should be conducted with a higher priority placed on refugees from conflicts that we had a hand in creating.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Agree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Agree
The arguments against CRT are misdirected. The college level coursework that really makes up the CRT is not being applied at the secondary school level. Instead, propagandists are using this so-called fear tactic that threatens the whitewashing of our historical textbooks. The white and ruling class is simply embarrassed at the revelations that come out of history, yet these are important to understanding our past and helping us make peace and progress in modern times with all races involved.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Our creator God is all powerful, positive and loving. I believe in the power of prayer.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
With proper government issued ID, then voters should be able to register on the same day that they vote.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
We must enact Ranked Choice Voting to give people more choices, candidates more voices. We should ease ballot access restrictions that target anyone outside of the big two party monopoly from participating. There should be open debates to all on the ballot. Especially at presidential level. If candidate from say Green or Libertarian was on enough state ballots to possibly win an electoral college vote - which these two parties have consistently been - then they should be allowed in any and all debates with the big two. Instead all we get is scripted infomercials and negativity. We should enact non-partisan redistricting in every state to end gerrymandering once and for all. We should enact term limits. Legislators should not be able to serve more than 12 years and should be banned from lobbying for up to five years after they leave office.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Neutral
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The media will make it a threat. Those who are racist are really more of a threat to themselves.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
This country uses so much energy that we have to unfortunately continue the practice of fracking until a complete transition away from fossil fuels is achieved.
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. Your statement A is a false fear. Alternative energy creates more jobs now than the fossil fuel industry.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Did not answer
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
The Alliance Party recognizes the duty of the government to coordinate with private enterprise to enact a comprehensive Green Initiative to reverse current trends and create 10 million new public and private industry green jobs. Sustainability and Resilience Invest in future infrastructure starting with Modern Cross-Country High Speed MagLev. Invest in national lead pipe replacement and infrastructure upgrades to guarantee access to safe and affordable drinking water. Promote local and community organic farming and phase out large agribusiness subsidies. Man-made changes in our climate have created a threat to the security and prosperity of every nation. Transform to a Low-Carbon Economy Transition away from harmful energy production practices and invest in clean and renewable energy sources. Increase government standards on vehicle emissions and building energy use standards. More than any single issue, the health of the planet will have more direct impact on our lives and livelihoods in the US & beyond. Protect Our Natural Resources Enhance national standards for clean air and water. Invest in applied research to rid our oceans and waterways of plastics and toxins, and technologies to extract carbon dioxide and methane from our atmosphere. Expand, Reforest and Restore millions of acres of public and recreational land and waters. Support sustainable agricultural, soil management, and fishing practices. Make Democracy Representative Enact Term Limits on legislators. End Partisan Gerrymandering. Implement Ranked Choice / Instant Runoff Voting for all elections. Equal access for citizen lobbying. Demand a New Breed of Public Servant Eliminate Barriers to Participation in Democratic Processes We the People have lost representation due to continuously higher barriers erected against non-traditional candidates who want to run for public office. Our manner of legislating has been hijacked by special interest dominance. They ensure members vote to legalize the corruption as investing millions yields billions in favorable legislation in return. Further, our elected officials choose their voters through partisan gerrymandering, which leaves them safe to ignore the will of their constituents in favor of corporate donors and private money. Allow for same-day voter registration for all current unregistered voters and implement automatic voter-registration. Expand the use of early in-person voting. Overturn Citizens United and reform campaign finance laws to increase transparency and limit the influence of special interests and private money. Ban legislators from becoming lobbyists for 5 years after leaving office.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Disagree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Agree
We can use the second amendment to let criminals know that there are armed citizens ready to defend themselves and de-escalate active attacks. With this backup, police resources can be safely reduced to reasonable levels, and addressing the roots of the problems will go a longer way to resolving the tension.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Public safety if threatened by criminals and the mentally impaired who have criminal intent. You can't blame that on the tools - though high capacity assault weapons are not really needed for the average citizen. We were better off by the assault weapon ban enacted during Reagan Administration.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
