QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
This is not the business of Government
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
This is not the purpose of Government
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Agree
Libertarians believe everyone has the right to do what they want, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the rights of others to do what they want.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Government should not be in the business of regulating services provided by individuals and businesses outside of protection from harm.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Government should have no authority to close a non-government entity.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Only terroristic threats within our borders need to be addressed. The Islamic community is NOT a threat. Every group has extremists, libertarians do believe in laws against violence.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Neutral
Libertarians believe that the business of other Countries should not be our business.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C- health insurance is not Government business although some programs Medicaid/Medicare help many citizens
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Libertarians believe that individuals should be allowed to make their own decisions regarding their health and it should not be public knowledge
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Libertarians believe in smaller Government. Limited Taxation, including the abolishment of the IRS.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Government spending on subjects that are not Government business have no place in the budget.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Neutral
If Alabama had a State lottery we could use those funds to support education similar to Georgia next door to us, who fund college for State residents.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Allowing illegal immigration is not an effective method of gaining new citizens. We should make the pathway to citizenship easier for those who want to be American.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Anyone who has not demonstrated themselves as a threat of violence who wants to be an American should be afforded the opportunity.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Neutral
Libertarians believe individuals should be allowed to make their own decisions.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Neutral
In this question Departmental policy is ambiguous, but as long as the police do not infringe on individual liberties they shouldn’t worry about their conduct.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Any restriction is a violation of 2nd amendment rights
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree

No

I am prioritizing Initiative and Referendum as a right that the citizens of Alabama should have but don’t, despite 26 States in which voters DO have those rights.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
Where historically Christian values framed morality, it is not government business to promote one religion over another.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

I regularly attend the Methodist Church, although it is not the business of the government what my religious belief is about.

Remove barriers for ballot access for parties that are not republican or democrat. Give voters more choices.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No, As a country we have moved beyond race as an issue and the sooner it is not part of the conversation the sooner we can continue to treat every individual as an individual and judge one another by the content of their character
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Disagree
No, if I was a first generation American would this apply to me?
