RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion is an issue where Libertarians acknowledge good faith arguments on both sides. It is an issue that currently presents no easy answers since the rights and bodily autonomy of both mother and unborn child in these circumstances seem irreconcilably in conflict. My philosophy as a Libertarian is carried on several key fundamentals: the non-aggression principle, private property rights, self-ownership, and the belief that liberty is the best way to enable individual human flourishing. Reproductive rights fall into that in multiple aspects: nobody else has the right to decide if, when, and how you become a parent. Nobody else has the right to impose upon your property or your body without your informed, ongoing and unambiguous consent. However, if an unborn child could survive outside of the womb, abortions should not be allowed as it would be violating the rights of that individual.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

While I'm sure there are several taxes that are unconstitutional and immoral, I am not well versed enough to confidently suggest changes to the tax code at this current time.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

End the drug war. Decriminalizing all personal drug use and possession. Instead of arresting individuals for victimless drug crimes, offer them vouchers for rehabilitation.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Medicaid and Medicare should remain available until the private sector is able to lift the burden from the State, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Educate and influence regions affected by Islamic terrorist recruitment that terrorism is not the true way of Islam.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Agree

The financial burden created by illegal immigration and smuggling exceeds the cost of physically securing the southern border.
