QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Under any time a woman's life is at risk. Such as a tubular pregnancy. Also this should include Rape and incest as a reason to allow abortion
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Disagree
Planned parenthood does a lot more than this alludes to. Especially for inner city woman they give full medical workups and counseling from an objective point of view.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
Very difficult but i have to say from experience the pain and suffering. I was at the bedside of a woman who had pancreatic cancer and she was in extreme pain with a dire prognosis. The situation was inoperable and even the pain med could not relieve her. It should be case to case basis with advice of a medical professional
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
First i would like to see tax liability for seniors revamped. Seniors have paid in most cases for over 50 years plus. Its time to honor their contribution with relief. Second I would like to see a three level flat tax code for corporations that will allow smaller business to compete. Separate incentives to smaller business to help them with giving employees benefits that will incentivize employees to stay with a business which will help the same business maintain a stable base of employees
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Did not answer
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Agree
I think at least through a Community college. I say put a one percent tax on business to help pay for the college which in turn will help get better educated work force available for the same business to hire. The incentive to help pay for a better educated trained force is a win win for business and the community
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Churches are an important part of society and my life. As a rule churches are autonomous but some of these mega churches that have been under scrutiny can be quite scary. I hate the thought of government interfering but the people sometime need protecting. The Jim Jones thing as an example of a serious problem. While they moved to a country out side the US what happened may have been prevented . I dont know but what i do know is it was well known and maybe could be prevented. But it has to be with due diligence
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
