It is a woman's choice period.

We should protect our borders but stop being the world's police force.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C. Also Medicare should not be mandatory once you have reached Social Security age. It should be a choice.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

This is a good question that I don't have an answer for at this time.


ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

The tax code should be simplified and aligned with the FairTax Plan. The FairTax proposal is a comprehensive plan to replace federal income and payroll taxes, including personal, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security/Medicare, self-employment, and corporate taxes. The FairTax proposal integrates such features as a progressive national retail sales tax, dollar-for-dollar revenue replacement, and a rebate to ensure that no American pays such federal taxes up to the poverty level. Included in the FairTax Plan is the repeal of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution. The FairTax allows Americans to keep 100 percent of their paychecks (minus any state income taxes), ends corporate taxes and compliance costs hidden in the retail cost of goods and services, and fully funds the federal government while fulfilling the promise of Social Security and Medicare.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We should not be giving foreign aid when we are spending in a deficit.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

There are enough gun laws on the books that are not being enforced as is. New gun laws will not keep guns out of the hands of the criminals. All new gun laws will do is make criminals out of law abiding citizens.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

This opens up a precedence that allows for too much litigation. A manufacture should not be sued for how person choices to use their product to harm someone. Does it make sense to sue a car manufacture if someone drives a vehicle through a crowd of people? I think not.

No. I have not been charged or convicted of any crime.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Some of the issues that I would like to work on if elected to the House of Representatives in the state of Alabama is as follows (in no particular order of importance): 1. The state of Alabama needs a new constitution. Our current constitution is the most amended constitution in the world with almost 1000 amendments. With this new constitution our state government needs to be redefined to be more streamlined and each county should have home rule. 2. I would like to see the dealership industry deregulated to allow customers to deal directly with the manufacturer and allow other car companies into the state that don't use the dealership model. 3. The family court system needs to be overhauled. This system is no longer looking out for the best interest of the children but the interest of the system itself. 4. There should be a cap on personal injury lawsuits. 5. The public school systems need to be reviewed to potentially eliminate administrative overhead and increase the pay and job security of teachers. 6. The public service commission needs to do a better job of regulating the utilities in this state so that we will no longer be behind in renewable energy generation.

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

The right to vote is a fundamental right of every citizen and that citizenship should be proven at the time of exercising that right. However obtaining proper identification should not be a burden on the citizen and disenfranchise the individual.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Redistricting of election boundary lines should be done by independent committees not by the legislature that would benefit from gerrymandering.


EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes it is a threat to domestic security. And I don't have a good answer for why.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Reparations should not be given to people that are generations removed from the atrocities committed by the federal government.


ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

B is closer to my view. I don't like over regulation and "there should be a law against that" but time and time again industries have taken a mile when an inch has been given. Which is the sole reason the EPA was created in the first place.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Multiple studies have shown where fracking has caused contamination of ground water sources. Fracking is causing a hidden environmental disaster.
