QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Disagree

I believe students should have access to information and assistance without interference from politicized organizations and oppose the use of force, coercion, intimidation or harassment to influence the decisions or actions of another individual. The information and assistance should be provided with the individuals well being as the priority. I support efforts to make birth control widely available and increasing access to scientifically factual sex education programs.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I firmly oppose all governmental medical involvement and adamantly believe that individuals own their own bodies and have full body autonomy over their own selves. Weather or not to undergo an abortion procedure should be an individual's own decision and that every adult has the right to make this decision free from governmental intervention. To give the government the power to impose restrictions on medical decisions of individuals also gives the government the power to mandate all medical decisions for individuals.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Disagree

I adamantly reject the notion that a government has the authority to define, determine, influence or restrict an individual's participation in any personal social relationship. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own personal voluntary relationships and that those relationships should have no impact on the government’s treatment of those individuals and their rights to life or liberty. I believe the concept of marriage is based on love and love has no need for defined roles.

The Ten Commandments should not be displayed in public school buildings or court houses.

Agree

Any educational system funded by money forcefully collected from private citizens should have no direct influence from any religious faction. Privately funded organizations and ones where participation is voluntary may display anything however they may choose

At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.

Agree

Students have the right to free speech and freedom of expression and that any censorship or regulation of those views are in direct violation of those rights. I support the freedom to engage in or abstain from any religious activities that do not violate the rights of others. I oppose all government actions that either aid or attack any religion.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

I only support the use of force in defense of individual rights — life, liberty, and justly acquired property — against aggression. I believe a military should be maintained at a sufficient size that enables it to defend the United States against aggression. I oppose any forced national service and military engagements on behalf of or in alliance with others or on foreign soil.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

I believe in economic freedom and support a society of free markets while strongly opposing government restrictions on those economic freedoms. Citizens have the freedom to live their lives free from government intervention. I fully support Alabama State Constitution Section 35: "That the sole object and only legitimate end of government is to protect the citizens in the enjoyment of life, liberty, and property, and when the government assumes other functions, it is usurpation and oppression.".

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

Recognizing that the education of children is a parental responsibility, I believe that the federal government has no role in education and that education is best provided by the free market. I believe all decisions of education including but not limited to: discipline, curriculum and funding, should be done at the most local level with full parental involvement. I fully support parents right to choose the educational systems for their children including homeschool, online education, and private schools.

EDUCATION

Every state should mandate K-12 standardized tests and the use of teaching software which aligns with Common Core standards.

Strongly Disagree

The forced use of a one-size-fits-all approach to education has failed. We are willingly allowing the government to be the sole source to determine the available educational pathways for our children and as a result doing them a great disservice. One of my primary priorities would be to remove this gross governmental overstep from our educational system and hand over the decision on the curriculum being taught to our students back into the hands of parents and our community's educators.

Parents are the ultimate authority in their child’s education and should be able to freely pursue whatever educational options they deem best for their child.

Strongly Agree

Recognizing that the education of children is a parental responsibility, we should restore authority to parents to determine the education of their children, without interference from government. Parents should have control of and responsibility for their children’s education.

Before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Ed (CSE) or Social Emotional Learning (SEL), they must opt-in with written parental permission.

Disagree

I believe that social education programs are vital resources in assisting students transition into becoming productive adult members of their communities. I believe access to these programs should be made available to all and individuals are inherently free to make the choice of participation for themselves.

I support the teaching of curricula (such as the 1619 Project, No Place for Hate, Second Step, etc.) that emphasizes slavery and racism as the foundation of American history.

Disagree

I believe our curriculum should be based on the best available factual information and should in no way show preference of one socio-economical status, religion, belief, race, sex, sexuality, gender or gender identity, age or any other elements that make individuals unique from one another over another.

The loss of local control in education is too high a price to pay in exchange for federal dollars.

Strongly Agree

I am concerned that our education system is designed by the government and strategically engineered to meet their agenda. The current system is primarily focused on receiving funding resulting in the education of our children being an afterthought. Control of our educational system is better off in the hands of the dedicated educators with intentional influence and input from their parents. Chasing funding from federal dollars should not be used as an excuse to provide substandard education.

2ND AMENDMENT

Teachers who are licensed to carry should be allowed to carry guns at school.

Strongly Agree

I believe that all gun control laws are unconstitutional and any restrictions on the 2nd amendment are an infringement on constitutional rights. I support the rights of educators and faculty members of our public schools to arm themselves while on school grounds. We must allow our educators to defend themselves and the students whose care they are entrusted from any potential threat. The right to defend oneself is an inalienable human right.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Do you support mandatory vaccinations for children attending public school?

I do not support mandated vaccinations in any form.

I support mask mandates.

Strongly Disagree

I support the right of an individual to determine their own action and reject any forcefully mandated masking requirement.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

I am an advocate of freedom and desire to limit the government's encroachment on individual liberties and rights. I believe individuals have the right to freely exchange property and free markets are the best way to limit government intervention in people’s economic choices. American foreign policy should emphasize peace with all nations. I defend each person’s right to engage in any activity that is peaceful and honest, and welcome the diversity that freedom brings.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am a concerned parent that fears our children are missing out on educational opportunities due to the current state of our education system and its forced compliance to government mandated standards. ? Although I am new to politics I am not new to creating change for the better. The current system is primarily focused on receiving funding resulting in the education of our children being an afterthought. I believe our children’s education is far better off in the hands of the dedicated and talented educators with intentional influence and input from their parents. I fully support parents right to school choice for their children including homeschool, online education, and private schools. Educating our youth should be removed from the forced governmental oversight under which it now falters. I believe that constant education and the pursuit of knowledge are not only fundamental parts of personal excellence but are also serve as the building blocks of a bright future. The influence and decisions of the education system belong under the guidance of those who seeks the benefit, growth, and best interest of our children enabling them to maximize their potential beyond the standards.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Disagree

I believe any religion or religious requirements should not be used as basis for governmental policy making. I do not support preferential treatment of one religious ideology over the other. I support the right of the individual to freely practice the religion of their choice however that practice should not influence government affairs,

I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Disagree

I support an individuals right to determine their own sexual orientation, sexual preference, gender, or gender identity. Although in cases of physical competition I do believe that there is the potential of competitors participating outside of their biological sex in having an unfair advantage.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in treating everyone and everything with respect and kindness. I believe in honesty and open mindedness. I do not follow a specific organized religion but study and practice aspects from many.

No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent.
