School districts should be able to use taxpayer money for lobbying the state legislature.
Disagree
I would agree only if it is for the purpose of benefiting the taxpayers, children, and community at large. In most cases, it does not benefit anyone but the administration or those in power.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Government funding appears to be necessary, but it has gotten to the point in which government funding becomes a quid pro quo deal. Currently, if school districts want government funds, they must do what the government tells them or else risk losing those monies. That was the case during COVID, and it was sickening what the kids, parents, and teachers/faculty had to deal with.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.
Strongly Agree
Religion is protected under the First Amendment just like freedom of speech is. There should be no restrictions on our First Amendment rights.

Parents are the ultimate authority in their child’s education and should be able to freely pursue whatever educational options they deem best for their child.
Agree
I do believe teachers play a vital role in the child's education, and it should be a partnership in some aspects of the child's education.

VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God and that everyone has the right to practice whatever religion they choose. I am traditional and conservative and believe that we need to teach our children morals, ethics, and boundaries. I strongly disagree with how far society has come with relation to sexuality, gender identity, and bringing those topics into our schools and to our young children. That is completely unacceptable and inappropriate. Children need to be children.

I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.
Strongly Disagree
Absolutely not. I have no problem creating a separate league for transgender males and females, but male sports are male sports, and female sports are female sports. There is no crossover.

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
Parents are responsible for teaching their children about sexual education. I do agree with the schools providing the basic education to boys and girls around 5th grade and always allowing parents to opt out; however, anything beyond the basic puberty discussion is inappropriate at school. A parent has the right to determine what content their child is exposed to and when they are exposed.

A candidate's personal moral values should not be relevant when considering a candidacy for elective office.
Neutral
I would not focus solely on personal morals as long as they follow through on their promises. They could be the perfect spouse and upstanding citizen, but if they fail on their promises, I have no respect for that. However, I would be cautious with a drug addict or pedophilia or sex trafficking, especially when minors are involved. I would not vote for someone solely based on their impeccable morals, yet I would not vote for someone who was involved in or bordering on criminal activity either.

I don’t have any interviews. I just know what I am and have never wavered from since the very first time I voted shortly after high school.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am not endorsed by the party. I am a regular, average, everyday parent just like my fellow citizens. I have three kids in public schools, and I have attended several school board meetings over the past year with the hope that they would heed my words and implement changes that would benefit the kids. They did not. I am fed up with the system and what I see being done to our kids and teachers/staff. I am fed up with the radical agendas and narratives that are infiltrating our schools and the indoctrination that is taking place in our schools across the country. If elected, I will ensure that none of that happens in our schools, and I will fight tooth and nail to bring excellence back to our district. The parties do not want people like us in elected positions. They want to maintain complete and utter control over us. That has failed us time and time again. It is time for everyday people like us to step up and take back our schools. I will work for the citizens of my community and do everything I possibly can on their behalf and for their betterment.

I support mask mandates.
Strongly Disagree
Absolutely not. Masks do not work, and I will not ever support subjecting our children and teachers/staff to that. If someone wants to wear a mask because they feel more secure in doing so, they absolutely have that right. Everyone has the right to do what they feel is in their best interest.
