OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Murder is murder.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Murder is murder.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Rape but the circumstances of someone’s creation does not make them any less valuable. All life is precious.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

Imagine living within your means? We need a constitutional balanced budget amendment.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

We need to install a flat tax and cut corporate tax.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

1A states that “Congress shall make no law respecting establishment of religion”… nothing in 1A states that religion can’t engage in Congress. That would fall into “prohibiting the free exercise thereof:”. So it’s really “state and church” restrictions not the other way around.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

People have the right to retain their medical autonomy. Vaccines should never be given without parental consent. Vaccine policy in general should be based on sound science and not political expediency or coercion.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C but with restructuring of Medicare and Medicaid. More fiscal responsibility and less bureaucracy.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

In my opinion BDS is anti-Semitic and promotes a false narrative of the West Bank situation. From the Arab-Israeli wars, Jordanian annexation and then the Six-Day War of 1967 the propaganda against Israel has no real merit where the facts are concerned.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Without question China targets the U.S. and must take their hostile acts seriously. The Chinese Communist Party machine serve only one purpose… control.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Outside of involving ourselves in another conflict (which I strongly oppose) we should make sure our intelligence keep close watch and keep them in check. Also monitoring their funding and go after those aiding Islamic terrorist groups.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Not even up for debate. We should protect and defend our sovereignty and border integrity.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Those that the rule of law allows. Enforce the law.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Teaching racism will help no one.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Evangelical Christian who believes in God our Creator. We all fall short but he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. For me that’s enough hope to fight for people.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Citizens are only as confident in their government as they are in the validity and security of their elections. It’s in all of our interest to require photo ID’s for our elections to ensure their integrity.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Signature verification required on absentee ballots. End mass mail-in voting and ballot harvesting. Photo ID requirement.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

No. We have civil courts as the proper venue for remedies for violation of civil rights.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Leftist fear mongering and race hustlers are a threat.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Energy independence is key to domestic security. It’s liberal insanity that we would neuter our own energy production when we are one of the evironmentally cleanest countries on the planet meanwhile southeast Asia is full of the dirtiest… including China.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Tarazona

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Proud husband to Sophia and we are blessed to be the parents of our two year old son Eddie. Tremendously proud dad of my son Logan Thomas… Washington Commanders TE. My family means the world to me and I thank the Lord every day for them.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

Our police deserve all the support they can get from us. If there are questionable circumstances let them be handled on an individual basis with due process and trust in our departments. We owe our officers a peace of mind when they are out protecting our communities. Qualified immunity is vital to safe policing.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

If you support more crime then defunding the police is what you do. Absolutely bad idea as we have seen across liberal cities in America. Our officers deserves all the resources we can give them for safe and efficient policing.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The 2A is already being infringed on by gun laws. How about we go after the criminals and stop punishing law abiding Americans. Bad people don’t tend to obey the law. That’s why we call them bad or lawbreakers.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

No. Gun manufacturers and dealers are not responsible for what people do with legally purchased firearms. How about we simply go after the offender of the crime.
