What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Unfortunately because of their funding, they get to dictate what is required or expected from the schools. The less government funding the better, so there is no outside influence in how our schools are run.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.

School districts should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

What is the function of the local school board?
To make decisions for the school district on behalf of the families and children they are representing. They must listen to the constiutents who voted them in and provide support when needed.
Who should have the authority to set curriculum and determine resources used in those curricula?
Decisions like that should be set by the county, with the state guidance and the community involvement. We cannot trust one level in these decisions. Parents must be given the opportunity to review curriculum that will be decided county wide.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
Never. As long as there is no violence or threats. Every parent has a right to represent their family. Even if what they have to say is not in agreement with me.

Physical Fitness, Personal Finances, American History, Language Arts, Mathematics, Vocational Learning, Information Technology, Science, Art & Music, Foreign Language. I chose physical fitness first, because if we can encourage our children to be physically healthy, then they will be able to handle all the following subjects successfully. I do not think there is enough emphasis on educating our children about their health.
American civics education should emphasize our nation's founding principles of liberty and equality.

I am a follower of Christ. God - Family - Country with God being the center of it all. The foundation of our country is based off of Christian principles and we have been able to evolve as a country because of the ever growing love of Christ.
I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
Parents should be guided in the conversation if they seek it, but ultimately that conversation needs to be from the parents/family. Not everyone views sexual education the same and it should reflect each family how they see fit - AT HOME. I always thought this conversation should be towards teens, however, with the over sexualization of our poor children, middle school may be the appropriate time at 2022, again, if the parents decide to do so.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am a mom who will fight to the end for the protection and innocence of our children. It is time for parents to be in the know and have true representation on the school board meetings. I say "If you want to save this country, you must start at the school board level."
2ND AMENDMENT
Teachers who are licensed to carry should be allowed to carry guns at school.

As long as they feel comfortable to carry in that environment. I do not think it should be a requirement.
