I am a strong supporter of school choice. Taxpayer funds should follow the student to their school of choice. Tax payer funding should be transferred to on-line schools, charter schools, vocational school, trade school, parochial school, private school, and government funding for home school if a student opts out of public school and chooses an alternative route for education and to obtain a diploma. College funding should be merit based and based upon achievement.

The County School Board is designed to serve the community. Hence, the word “public” in public schools refers to that the county residents themselves control the public schools. The School Board is elected by voters and their main function is to represent and serve the residents of their jurisdiction that elected them. The School Board must make student achievement the priority. The school board works to make sure the school has all the resources to serve students needs, to manage the funds of the schools, provide security and safety for students and staff and provide a positive academic learning environment for student's to excel in their chosen profession and in post education pursuits.

Governor DeSantis implemented HB 1557 to protect parental rights and to protect students from being exposed to non-age appropriate material, and teaching methods that encourage hatred, students to judge and discriminate against one another based on skin color or to attempt to shame or guilt students from possible past transgressions of ancestors. The bill was highly supported by a two to one margin by Public Opinion Strategies which found 61% of the people supported the law and only 26% opposed it. The bill was found to also to be supported 55% by Democrats and by a majority of Republicans. Florida constituents came together from all parties and provided joint support for the passing of laws designed to protect our children. Parents, teachers, committees with parents and teachers, an appointed representative by each school board members, attorneys and literary experts and scholars participated in the review of curriculum and textbooks before items were approved. This collaboration represented a community united in wanting a focus on academia, family values, and love of country. I encourage the community to continue to participate in reviewing curriculum so students say focused and receive a quality education. Politics, activism, and social justice can be learned from parents at home and pursued outside the K-12 classroom.

Yes. I live in the county where the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas massacre occurred. Coach Aaron Feis shielded students with his body to save students lives. In honor of Coach Feis the Guardian Program program was founded. It requires a minimum of 144 hours of training and a psych. evaluation. Coach Feis fatally shot during the massacre. Had he had his gun he may have been able to save more lives including his own. Indictments are being issued against school board members for their epic failure.

My husband is Egyptian/ North African. We have been married for more than 30 years. My husband came to the USA at age 11 not speaking a word of English. He describes himself as depicting the American Dream. He came to the US with a suitcase and shared a small bedroom with two brothers. He put himself through college busing and waiting tables. He ultimately became an engineer working with nuclear power plants and multi- billion dollar pharmaceutical companies. I grew up in a small rural town. My father did not graduate from High School and my mother did not graduate from Middle School. Both parents were blue collar workers. My father in construction my mother a waitress and a grocery store employee. I was the youngest of four. They separated when I was 6 years old and divorced. They however both stressed the importance of education. I became an attorney and started my career as an Assistant State Attorney. I believe that I also depict the American dream. Having a dream, hard work, determination, and education was the key to our success. Both my husband and I agree that America is the land of opportunity.

Belief in god and the son of god Jesus Christ is our savior. People should be judged ion their character and integrity, not on their skin color or religion. Love and endless commitment to family is more valuable then fame and fortune. Education, hard work, and drive is the key to financial success.
