QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support laws which allow a municipality to enact a Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance.

Choose not to answer

ECONOMY

Private development is a legitimate justification for taxpayer-funded incentives such as property tax abatements and taxpayer-backed loans.

Agree

It is the responsibility of city government to provide subsidized housing at taxpayer expense.

Disagree

Property taxes should be abolished.

Disagree

I support using taxpayer funds to lobby the state legislature and/or U.S. Congress.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

City officials should have the right to proclaim their city a sanctuary city for illegal aliens.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Individuals should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on their "gender identity."

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

All filings by candidates for municipal office, including ballot application and campaign finance reports, should be available for public online access on the city website within 24 hours of filing deadline.

Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

It is the responsibility of taxpayers via city government to subsidize green initiatives, including electric vehicle charging stations and procuring solar and wind-generated electricity.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To secure the liberties and freedoms of its citizens.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I have a servants heart and everything that I do on the campaign trail is aimed at improving the lives of the people I seek to represent. Nothing I do is for self gain or promotion. I am committed to making my community a better place to live and work for every single person.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2012 General Election 2014 General Election 2016 Republican Primary 2016 General Election 2018 Republican Primary 2018 General Election 2020 Republican Primary 2020 General Election

Candidates and officeholders should be required to disclose all business investments and real estate, whether in the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

Neutral

Please list your business investments and/or real estate, whether within the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

I own two properties in the city of Tulsa, one is my personal residence. I own two businesses registered as an LLC in the city of Tulsa.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Redirecting funds is just another way of saying defund the police. A community can only be as great as its local law enforcement. They need our support and we need theirs. Councilor Lori Dector-Wright attempted to redirect $5,000,000 from the TPD and send it to another department in September of 2022.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The exact opposite. Education on the proper handling of a firearm and the laws related to legal ownership of a firearm should be encouraged.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

I prefer to keep our current system in place. Medical marijuana in Oklahoma is what I support as a substitute for opioids in the treatment for pain management.

All official open meetings should be live streamed, recorded, and have transcripts available online for public access.

Strongly Agree

Any emergency executive order (EO) should be subject to review and override by the city council in a special meeting called no later than 14 days following issue of the EO.

Agree

And should require a super majority to overturn.

LOCAL

Please list up to six issues or projects that you think need the most attention, in priority order.

1. Permanently kill any plan to create an Office of Independent Monitor in Tulsa. 2. Create a committee at City Hall that trains and advices community organizations in Tulsa on the methods and practices used by the Ten Point Coalition out of Indianapolis to address specific crime in targeted areas. 3. Approve Mayor Bynum's ordinance to include jail time for serial panhandlers. 4. Work with state legislators to repeal the state sales tax on groceries across the state and in Tulsa. 5. Develop a 5 year plan to seriously address to lacking infrastructure in District 7. 6. Work to create a county wide permitting and licensing process that is universal and handled at the Tulsa County level instead of every municipality in the Tulsa metro area having individual requirements for every trade and type of inspection. Our current system makes it difficult for contractors and businesses to operate across the entire metro. We need a universal system with better access to permitting and inspections.

I support annual financial audits of every city department by an independent, third party auditor.

Agree

The city of Tulsa does elect a city auditor that is required to perform audits periodically. That being said, I have allows been an advocate for transparency, and I would like to see some sort of charter amendment that requires audits by a third party to be conducted no more than every three years.
