QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Neutral

There are philosophical differences in viewpoints between the religious perspective and the secular perspective in regards to when protectable life begins. In my eyes, every abortion is a tragedy and every life is worth protecting. However, it is my job to protect freedom and allow individuals to make their own decisions regarding their own lives and their own morality, not to push my own philosophy onto anyone else.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support laws which allow a municipality to enact a Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance.

Agree

ECONOMY

Private development is a legitimate justification for taxpayer-funded incentives such as property tax abatements and taxpayer-backed loans.

Strongly Disagree

Using taxpayer dollars to fund private developments will only allow the private owners of these developments to profit at the expense of taxpayers.

It is the responsibility of city government to provide subsidized housing at taxpayer expense.

Neutral

Property taxes should be abolished.

Agree

I support using taxpayer funds to lobby the state legislature and/or U.S. Congress.

Strongly Disagree

Taxpayers are not a monolith. Each individual should have their own say in government. Using taxpayer dollars to fund something that the taxpayer may not agree with is morally atrocious.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Neutral

IMMIGRATION

City officials should have the right to proclaim their city a sanctuary city for illegal aliens.

Agree

VALUES

Individuals should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on their "gender identity."

Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in the fundamental principles of the united states-- liberty and justice for all. This is done, mainly, not through government but through community.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Disagree

The United States of America was founded by racists, and these racists also founded institutions which continued to oppress even after their death. However, today, we are not seeing institutions which actively seek to oppress, rather we are seeing the aftermath of such institutions. As such, the problem which CRT discusses will dissipate with a little effort, and a lot of time, rather than a lot of effort in a small amount of time.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

All filings by candidates for municipal office, including ballot application and campaign finance reports, should be available for public online access on the city website within 24 hours of filing deadline.

Strongly Agree

Ballot measures which include bond issues should fully disclose both the potential tax rate increase and actual monetary increase for the average single family residence.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

It is the responsibility of taxpayers via city government to subsidize green initiatives, including electric vehicle charging stations and procuring solar and wind-generated electricity.

Agree

This is a part of infrastructure. However, subsidies may not be the most effective way to inact these efforts. A better way is to create an economy within the city which would greatly benefit from green energy.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The purpose of government is to protect the rights of the people.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I was born and raised in a blue collar family, as are most in my district. I do not have the privilege of having politicians in my family, nor do I have "elites" of any kind. I believe a politician, as a public servant, serves best when they are relatable to the people they serve. I believe that career politicians and politicians who get their positions from legacy view themselves to be higher than their represented masses, which is a large part of a large problem currently in the United States.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2020 General Election

Candidates and officeholders should be required to disclose all business investments and real estate, whether in the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

Strongly Agree

Please list your business investments and/or real estate, whether within the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

I own a single house in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This single house is my primary residence. My business investments have included small amounts of stock in Oklahoma based oil companies, Ford motor company, and Canadian cannabis companies.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Absolutely none. Crime and violence are caused by societal tensions, not the other way around. We need to start making our communities tighter and more accepting, and then we will immediately see a drop in violent crime.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Agree

All official open meetings should be live streamed, recorded, and have transcripts available online for public access.

Strongly Agree

Any emergency executive order (EO) should be subject to review and override by the city council in a special meeting called no later than 14 days following issue of the EO.

Strongly Agree

LOCAL

Please list up to six issues or projects that you think need the most attention, in priority order.

Connecting the homeless with housing opportunities. Job creation and improve wages locally Spend education funds equitably Maintain infrastructure in low income areas Modernize local zoning Repurpose abandoned buildings in the area

I support annual financial audits of every city department by an independent, third party auditor.
