QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Disagree

I believe in a woman's right to chose her own medical choices. Our own federal government wont let you claim a dependent til it is born, it seems to me that is the time protections should be in place.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Disagree

they provide many essential medical needs.

I support laws which allow a municipality to enact a Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance.

Strongly Disagree

City should concentrate on citizens who are already living in the municipality.

ECONOMY

Private development is a legitimate justification for taxpayer-funded incentives such as property tax abatements and taxpayer-backed loans.

Neutral

depends on the development if it is providing public good like a grocery store in a food desert.

It is the responsibility of city government to provide subsidized housing at taxpayer expense.

Agree

Every citizen needs help sometimes.

Property taxes should be abolished.

Disagree

How would we fund things like libraries and schools?

I support using taxpayer funds to lobby the state legislature and/or U.S. Congress.

Strongly Disagree

an individual is free to donate to lobbist agendas on their own.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.

Strongly Disagree

noone should discriminate against anyone for their private life. That is a Christian belief and i believe in a separation between church and state

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

god was not added to our pledge or money until the 1950"s our country was founded on the right to chose how you worship or dont.

IMMIGRATION

City officials should have the right to proclaim their city a sanctuary city for illegal aliens.

Neutral

I would need more information on this but we need all people to feel safe and willing to engauge in community.

VALUES

Individuals should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on their "gender identity."

Strongly Agree

if we start looking under stalls in bathrooms we have bigger problems.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in love. I believe in the mother and the father, that we are all part of the divine. I follow the nature cycles of the earth. I believe in being kind and true to yourself and others. I believe hard work and human connections can achieve great things.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Neutral

I need to learn more about the exact terms. I do believe that we need to better job at teaching all history for we are doomed to repeat our mistakes if we forget making them.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Neutral

I do think there are other ways to identify people like fingerprint scans and other technology so doesnt have to be photo but some sort of accountability is necessary.

All filings by candidates for municipal office, including ballot application and campaign finance reports, should be available for public online access on the city website within 24 hours of filing deadline.

Agree

I am being honest that I try very hard to make the deadlines but sometimes i am human and miss them but it is important to be transparent about these things

Ballot measures which include bond issues should fully disclose both the potential tax rate increase and actual monetary increase for the average single family residence.

Agree

i dont think it would hurt but what is an average single family residence? We would need to be clear on what that would represent.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

It is the responsibility of taxpayers via city government to subsidize green initiatives, including electric vehicle charging stations and procuring solar and wind-generated electricity.

Agree

There is a balance we need to start looking toward the future but it cant come solely from taxpayers.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

I think that is slightly different depending on branch and level of government. Overall government is there to help create an accord so that all people living in it can coexist and thrive.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I work hard for people. I want to create a better tomorrow for my daughter and for future generations. I am a public servant. I will always try and gather as much information before making a decision, I will listen to all voices and try and make the most reasonable choices. I try to balance all things and leave people and places better than i found them.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2012 Democratic Primary 2012 General Election 2014 Democratic Primary 2014 General Election 2016 Democratic Primary 2016 General Election 2018 Democratic Primary 2018 General Election 2020 Democratic Primary 2020 General Election

I am a registered democrat but never vote down party lines i try to always pick the person who will do the best job. I am fiscally responsible, believe in gun ownership but also gun safety, believe that people should never be judged by how they love or who they worship or where they come from or how they dress etc. We must all remember that we are more alike than different and together we can achieve greatness.

Candidates and officeholders should be required to disclose all business investments and real estate, whether in the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

Agree

Transparency is key.

Please list your business investments and/or real estate, whether within the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

I have been teaching at TU for 15 years I own a massage therapy business for 27 years i have just inherited 13 rental properties all in the Dawson community and some land in Bixby along with my brother from the death of our parents that i am currently trying to figure out. My husband is a machinist with his veteran owned Taswallson Manufacturing waterjet company. We are members of the saltfork blacksmithing association and I have worked for most area theatre companies at some point in the past 20 years as a costume designer. My family also owns a non producing wheat farm in Colorado.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

social matters i lean liberal but am very fiscally responsible and believe in gun ownership but also gun safety. I believe in balance and reason

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Calling me is usually the easiest way to reach me. But do my best to check email and facebook. I cant be a good representative if you cant find me.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

I dont think we need to take funds away just find better ways. We definately need more mental health and community programs but reducing ways to respond in emergencies is not really going to help.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I think a waiting period is a good start. i would support mandatory training. I think it should be much like driving a car you have to prove you can do it safely to operate one.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Agree

i think those that are going to partake are going to but safety standards are easier to maintain if it is legal.

All official open meetings should be live streamed, recorded, and have transcripts available online for public access.

Agree

I believe we already do this in city council. It is a pain sometimes but transparency is key

Any emergency executive order (EO) should be subject to review and override by the city council in a special meeting called no later than 14 days following issue of the EO.

Neutral

I always think checks and balance is good but in emergencies you need to be able to react swiftly. But I dont think a review would be remiss.

LOCAL

Please list up to six issues or projects that you think need the most attention, in priority order.

infrastructure, roads and sewers especially neighborhood and park safety including lights and sidewalks homeless mitigation revitalization of admiral quality of life opportunities tourism

I support annual financial audits of every city department by an independent, third party auditor.

Neutral

every year might be too costly and unnecessary but on a cycle yes.
