QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Never. (Tubal pregnancy, a condition that may require surgery to save the life of the mother, does not qualify as elective abortion.)
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
The government's responsibility lies only in providing safety and the means of commerce ie; roads, EMS, etc for daily life. Injured veterans of war are the exception.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Since the government mandates education for children and uses taxation to fund it, I strongly urge parents to use their influence in how the system works. The local school board/ PTA can be effective, however the primary responsibility is with the parents. This is especially true for pre-school. Many mid-teens and older should be pursuing vocational gifts and apprenticeship. College should be private funded and be only for those needing accreditation for professional pursuits after much personal evaluation. The reality that many young adults graduate from college, work in a different field than their major but have indebtedness that handicaps their future, is unfortunate.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
God instituted marriage for His glory and pro-creation comes only by male and female union. This is a good illustration of God and the church in spiritual fellowship.
The Ten Commandments should not be displayed in public school buildings or court houses.
Disagree
Our judicial system is built on the commandments. I see the local public school as an effective tool to teach morality, hence local school boards can be pro-active in promoting biblical values if they so choose.
At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.
Strongly Agree
This is the essence of the 1st ammendment.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
Our history proves this.
EDUCATION
Every state should mandate K-12 standardized tests and the use of teaching software which aligns with Common Core standards.
Strongly Disagree
All testing should only be parent/ grandparent/guardian approved . The burden lies with the local school to get permission from the legal guardian(s).
Parents are the ultimate authority in their child’s education and should be able to freely pursue whatever educational options they deem best for their child.
Strongly Agree
Couldn't have said it better.
Before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Ed (CSE) or Social Emotional Learning (SEL), they must opt-in with written parental permission.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely !
I support the teaching of curricula (such as the 1619 Project, No Place for Hate, Second Step, etc.) that emphasizes slavery and racism as the foundation of American history.
Strongly Disagree
Slavery is an unfortunate part of our history, but not the essence of it.
The loss of local control in education is too high a price to pay in exchange for federal dollars.
Agree
For the most part very true. The exception is a small rural school that needs some assistance to exist to give a sense of community and encourage the next generation to maintain that community. I'm in favor of local control.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
A biblical model is THE framework of values.
I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.
Strongly Disagree
This a big " NO " resting in common sense.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
The only true living God is triune, manifested in The Father, Son , & Holy Spirit who created all things, called them good and maintains life by His power. He is the Giver of good gifts that give mankind purpose, hope for the future, and the promise of eternal life with Him if His commandments are loved and obeyed.
No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely!

2ND AMENDMENT
Teachers who are licensed to carry should be allowed to carry guns at school.
Agree
Best deterrent to school shootings. Local school board should be supportive. Warning signs could be posted identifying the school as "protected".
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Do you support mandatory vaccinations for children attending public school?
No !
I support mask mandates.
Strongly Disagree
The science does not support . This has been politicized and does not make medical sense.
